We hired Benny McBride to paint the total interior of our house minus the spare bathroom. We agreed on the price of $7,800 which includes the price of the paint. He agreed to paint all the ceilings, walls and trim throughout the house, including the stairway and bonus room over the garage. We also talked about doing repair work on the walls where the original builders did a poor job. I showed him the spare bathroom that I had redone and he said he could do that quality of work throughout the house. He told us that when he was done we would never know he had been there, he would clean up after himself. He started the job on June 27, 2022, with the spare bedroom and the ceilings. It took him and his helper one week to finish the job. After he left we started noticing the paint on the floors, on all of our furniture, picture frames, windows, blinds, ceiling fans, everything. And we noticed the places that he missed and did not paint at all or was done so poorly it looked very unprofessional. We were told that the trim paint, after 16 days would never be able to come off yet any time we bump it, it chips. The trim everywhere now needs to be repainted. The walls were not repaired and where he did some repair, he used a power sander which created a thick layer of dust everywhere. He did not clean this and there are areas where he painted over the dust. He or his assistant cleaned brushes or a pan of pain in the spare bathroom sink that now drains very slow. At this point we need to bring someone in to redo the paint in the house which will cost us. We have not had a quote done at this point. We contacted Mr ******************** last week and his reply was that he did an excellent job on this house. He never supplied us with a receipt. I ask him to send us one and he said he would, but we have not received that yet.

In the original complaint I failed to mention the damages that Mr ******************** caused.  He over sprayed, splash and put fingerprints of paint on our wooden furniture, picture frames, fans, blinds and shelving unit in our closet.  When we discoved some of this, we pointed it out to him.  He told us that he uses denaturalized alcohol and that would take the paint right off, not to worry.  Everywhere he used this it had damaged the finish on the wood. We paid very good money for our things and he has paint all over everything. We have pictures for proof of everything that we have encountered since Mr ******************** finished, there are too many to upload here.
