On 2/4/2022 I paid $****** to 7 Springs Orthopedics for a visit to their Antioch location. I was told this was because of my "high" deductible plan with my insurance provider that this was the way that things were handled. I provided my *** card and paid my bill. My insurance company was also billed for $***, with my portion being $******; also billed to my card. At that point, the $****** should have been reversed to my card. they got paid...but according to their billing organization ******, they have instructed them to hold on to my money as future float to cover my billing for any "future" appointments I may have. This is a deceptive, and potentially discriminatory billing practice. I am seeking remedy and a response from 7 Springs.

I was told by my *** and twice over the phone by 7 springs before my appointment that self pay was $****** and that amount included X-ray's, appointment, and any treatment during appointment like shots. I payed $****** in full at the time of my appointment and was told the same thing on 1-24-22. I received a bill for $***** on X-XX-XX for the cost of the appointment and a shot I received at that appointment. I called the number on the bill (****** medical group) and was told they would open a dispute, would call me back, I should call 7 springs and ask for a manager. They didn't call back. I called 7 springs, was told it was a mistake and they would take care of it and would call me back. They didn't. I received another bill for the same amount on 3-6-22, an email, a phone call to pay bill from ******. I called 7 springs 3-14, was told she would email a manager. I called back 3-15 to check progress of email, spoke to ******** this time. She said to call ****** and they would "explain " the bill to me. Called ******, 20 minute wait, left info for call back the next day. No one called back. I was unable to make a follow up appointment to deal with the daily pain I'm in bc I can't trust anything 7 springs says about self pay. This has caused me so much stress. They are dishonest about their self pay prices and obviously don't care about their patients well being or time.
