On 10-17-22, I took my vehicle to Best One to have the driver's rear tire patched. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told that both rear tires were patched. On 10-18-22, The passenger rear tire was flat. I took the vehicle back to Best One and was told that they would re-patch the passenger rear tire. On 10-19-22, the passenger rear tire was flat yet again. I took the vehicle back a 3rd time and was told that there was a nail in a spot that was hard to patch and that when nails are in that area, sometimes the patch doesn't take. On 10-19-22, I took the vehicle to another company to see what was going on with the tire and was told that the tire was patched and that there was another hole next to the original patch. I was also told that you cannot re-patch a previous patch and the tire is ruined. I had to replace the tire. I never asked for anyone to fix, patch or look at the passenger rear tire and I had to spend over $300 to replace the tire. Everyone at Best One was kind but that doesn't take away from the fact that I had to spend money on this tire and I never asked for it to be fixed or looked at.

When we do a flat repair at our location we always check the other tires as a courtesy. We did notice a nail in the passenger side rear tire and did the repair at that time. We check tires for leaks after we do repairs and the tire showed no signs of leaking when we mounted it back on the vehicle. When the vehicle returned the following day we replaced our patch with a larger patch/plug to seal the leak. Once again the tire showed no signs of leaking when we did the check after the second repair. When the vehicle returned for the third time we recommended that the tire be replaced. All of our services were done at no cost to the customer. The question of whether the nail should have been removed is yes. We remove nails from tires frequently and the tire does not leak and the tire is fine. If it leaks then the nail has penetrated the inner liner and will eventually cause the tire to fail.
