    I have been complaining to Crye Leike Property Management about insufficient AC in my apartment for over a year. Last Thursday (June 16, 2022) I informed the landlord the temperature was up to 110 degrees in my apartment. Nine days later I am still without a resolution. The company has lied to me on multiple occasions, hung up on me, made many excuses and is dragging their feet to fix the problem and is not relocating me. The HVAC company that has looked at the problem has acknowledged that the duct work is full of cracks and needs replacing and the attic lacks insulation. A cabinet was installed over the return vent so hot air is not able to pull out of the apartment. My electric bills have been $***+ a month. I have reached out to every agency locally for assistance and I want to warn other future renters/tenants of this "property management" company.

    Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/28) */ Crye-Leike Property Management and Homeowner have been very responsive and timely attempting to resolve the tenant's cooling problems in his unit. A rough timeline has been attached that provides detail of the steps made to correct this issue. Please note that the tenant called in a cooling issue last year. A technician was sent out and cleaning and filter change was completed. The tenant never contacted Crye-Leike again regarding cooling problems after this service was performed. The tenant verbally confirmed this to Craig Knox GM of CLPM. Tenants comment that he has been reporting cooling problems for a year is not a true statement. Preventative Maintenance was performed on the HVAC system in the winter of 2021. Again no mention of cooling problems or any other HVAC problems from the tenant. CLPM was notified on 6/17/22 of the new issue with the cooling and responded quickly. High temperatures in Memphis have averaged very close to 100 degrees over the last 2 weeks and has greatly impacted the response time of HVAC service companies. An expensive portable AC unit was purchased and located in the tenant's bedroom on 6/2/22. This kept the bedroom area very cool. This problem was prioritized by the HVAC company, the homeowner, and Crye-Leike Property Management. A technician was at the unit on five separate days completing new repairs with the goal of solving the problem. This is explained in the timeline in detail. CLPM employees were at the unit on 4 separate occasions over the last week. The tenants complaint about his rental unit being overly warm is absolutely correct. New and expensive solutions were implemented each day with the hope of resolution. Incremental improvement was achieved after each repair but the problem was not solved entirely until insulation was added to ceiling and some walls and more duct work was moved on 6/27/22. The tenant has not given us feedback or returned our calls since the final repairs were made. Invoices can be provided if needed supporting the timeline provided. CLPM and the Homeowner intend to continue to work with the tenant with the hope of his being satisfied that a difficult problem was solved as quickly as possible.
