  On Sept 10, 2022, I contracted Tim the tile Guy for tile repairs in my home. No repayment required. Oral contracts and written contract made before and during work. Work was to re-grout bathroom tiles but silicone caulking was used. Caulking was smeared badly in one bathroom. Task two was to repair grout lines in kitchen floor tiles and replaced 2 ea that are cracked. Repairing the grout lines required putting a frame around where the grout lines were existing. This required tiles and pieces to be removed. Too many tiles were broken by him where this could not be accomplished from existing extra replacement tiles. All materials were to be in the contract signed. He could not or would not provide an acceptable solution to this and wanted me to buy materials that he had broken. I refused and he said he was out of money and walked out the door. He left with a trip safety hazard of missing tile in my kitchen floor and dust from refusing to take preventive measures to avoid it. This is an air hazard and I have COPD not even thinking what it will cost for cleanup. I can provide pictures if needed.

  I have not been contacted by Tim the Tile guy in any way since I filed the complaint. No issues have been setted as of this date, 9/26/22.

  The only thing I can say is is that I have tried to appease this guy I brought tiles to his house because at first I was under the impression that he had enough to fix the job then come to find out he didn't have enough and he wanted a certain thing and what it was after I got started and I had everything tore out he started talking about oh I really just want it all done and your insurance company and he kept saying that over and over I have a witness on this and I also have my brother-in-law that is the tile guy that baught The stuff that we needed to do the job and I offered him many remedies to fix it and as a matter of fact I left my ********* my grout and the tile that I bought from the tile company which the tile guy that's at the tile company will join me in so I have four witnesses that will say that I spent my money and **** when I tried to get him to give me some money so that I can finish the job he's like I never said that I was gonna pay for the materials and every job I do they pay for the material plus the labor of the job that is required and when I came the third day of job I gave him the receipts of what I've spent on materials and he said I wasn'T gonna pay that and I left all my materials with him and left cause he said he was gonna *** me but wasn't gonna pay me the extra materials I baught cause he didn't have enough to get the job done and to appease him so he would be happy in the end and he said he was not gonna pay me so I left cause I felt he wasn't gonna pay for job to be done In the end and you can also look up my ****** business and see this is the first complaint I have ever had and I have been doing tile for over 15 years as well I had *********************** working with me the entire time the job was going on and he can confirm everything please contact me by phone I do not read and write so I have my wife contact you and I have called and left messages several times so plz call me at **********

  I am amazed at his answers. I had more tiles than needed at the start of the job but after he broke so many, then There were not enough. There are so many lies in his reply and the subjects were all mixed up as to what was what. I then conceded to use different tiles just to get the job finished. He brought 2 or 3 tiles from his trailer and they were not enough after breakage. He then went to get more tiles and never came up with the required tiles to effect a repair. Then after he said he was out of money I referred him back to his insurance should take care of his mistakes. The agreement was he would get paid when the job was completed. That was the contract and why I refused piece meal payments. He is better with untruths than he is at laying a tile floor. I would vehemently tell anyone considering doing business with him. DON'T !!! I could not separate and address all his mixed up lies in the **** character limit for this response. I have a written contract (carbon copy , hardly legible) on a small grocery receipt book page . It will not copy clear enough to attach here and be of any use.It is difficult to read in good light and make sense of it. I would be happy to bring to your office.
