            Previously, following ice-damage on 12/24/2022, I had G&F Remodeling as a subcontractor assigned to make minor wood repairs and do quite a bit of painting inside my house. Since they did the painting well, I requested them to bid on painting the outside of my house. I received a competitive bid from **** (*********) ******. They worked 07/20-24/2023. They painted well. On 07/24 I paid them (****) in full. After I paid them, *******, ****' brother, told me "We had a problem." We walked around to the side of the house and there lie the gate. One of the painters cracked the support post off completely at its base. (There was no mold damage.) **** said he would fix it. He said, "I know what to do." He would not charge me, but he could not come that weekend, or Monday following. I reminded him on Aug 2,3,4,7,9,11,15,30. On Aug 4 I sent him a photo of the gate laying on its side. On 7Aug he apologized and said he was busy and would come *** pm. I was home. He did not show. Subsequently I attempted to call him, e.g., on 12AUG2023 and 3 times on 30Aug 2023. On Aug 30 I also sent him an E-mail. Tomorrow will mark 7 weeks without repair. Stray dogs have run into my backyard. I am concerned about that because I have grandchildren that play there. Neighbors also have recently raised issue with this damage. Right now we think that **** and G&F Remodeling is not as honest as we originally thought.

            The previous note from BBB had incorrect information--possibly due to computer autoediting.

            What was requested was Repair of the gate. They need to Repair the gate and Replace the gate post broken off by painters. BBB program did not take that but instead listed none. 

            If G&F Remodeling does not repair shortly they had 10 weeks--- I will have to hire someone to repair the damage.
