Stuff installed in this 2023 Camry that was not Toyota parts ( dealer installed) led to a fire hazard as line was not properly run from the wiring harness. Had to trade it in at another dealership to feel safe in a car. The first ****** who tried to speak with me sell me told me what i was getting instead of getting my ****************** records are not kept up to date. I was advised by ****** that my loan was not paid off so he sent my refund to Toyota Financial. I contact them and they say they don't know why cause it was paid off in May 2023. Very disappointed in service.

Purchased a Toyota 4 runner 2024 from landers McLarty Toyota, the vehicle had scratches on the passenger fender. Dealer tried to buff the scratches out, but left swirls in the paint. Still see the scratches. Asked dealer for a small compensation and the general manager said they would not do that. Just trying to let people know, this dealer doesnt stand by what they say. Asked dealer for $500 , which is a lot cheaper than a paint job .

    Business response

    05/05/2024

we offered to try to fix the scratch or let them out of deal and go our separate ways before they took delivery.  We offered to get it touched up or buffed out. *****, our detail manager worked on it a little and made it look much better.  The customer said they didnt want it touched up by us but instead preferred to have their paint shop in their hometown do the touch up. We did agree to pay them to do the touch up but told them we couldnt guarantee their painters work. We paid for that. Then they called saying they need 500 dollars compensation for the scratch not being fixed to their standards. We offered to give them $250 and we did pay their paint shop although we had done what we agreed to do. I feel like Im being held hostage and given bad reviews over a scratch that we were not allowed to fix in our shop. I will gladly do the work in my shop and with my vendors. I have no intention of doing a complete repaint. If the vehicle hasnt been tagged I will gladly take the vehicle back.

I sent this to General **** on Sunday and have not had a response nor have I had any response from "****" who I understand is over sales at this company. I've requested this money be refunded multiple times from multiple people-Good morning. I am hoping you can help me. Mid-January I talked to one of your salesman (******) about a Toyota Tundra. There was one scheduled for delivery for the end of February that required a $1K deposit to hold. At no time was there any mention of the fee being non Refundable. Over the next few days, someone named **** took over as ****** just wasnt good. This was all done via text and I can show several texts with **** where I requested a copy of the paperwork, which eventually I received, again via text. I tried to stay up to date, texting occasionally to check status on truck and requesting to receive paperwork via my email address. Still have not received the paperwork but truck was delayed to the end of March early April at last text. Ive probably bought 50 cars in my lifetime and this has been hands down the worst experience Ive ever had. I do not need this truck any longer, nor do I want to purchase from McLarty. Last week I asked **** to return deposit. He declined. I asked him reconsider returning my deposit but have not had a response so escalated to General ****. No response. Now escalating to you. Please help. Thank you.

Purchased a used truck from them. It wasn't showing any tire pressure and was told to take it to my nearest Chevrolet Dealership and have it checked out. And Landers would repair it. Once I took it to the ***** dealership and was informed that the truck had been sold to me without any TPMS sensor installed in any tire, Landers then told me I would be responsible for the repairs because that is how they had received the truck.
