Specifically, the company advertised a Hydro Assist Fuel Cell (HAFC) claiming the product would increase a vehicle's gas mileage by 50%. The advertisement further indicated, in addition to the HAFC, with the installation of a Pre-Ignition Catalytic Converter (PICC) it is possible to obtain over 100 miles per gallon. In September 1999 Dennis Lee advertised a 'free electricity' machine to be demonstrated in the Nashville/Middle Tennessee marketplace. The advertisement and business opportunity offered by Mr. Lee was the subject of a CONSUMER ALERT issued by BBB. BBB's investigation of this product is described in the Additional File Information section of this report.
Other advertised products include the Magna Clean Laundry System, Soil Eradicator, Fire Barrier, Fire Sentry, Therma Guard, TF Sealant, Soni Grow, Hydroweed, Miracle Shield and Envirosafe.
Since 2000 Consumers from across the United States have contacted the Better Business Bureau requesting information about the company's 'free electricity' presentations held at various public and private venues. Dr. Harold Bergen is identified by many consumers as the International Tesla Electric Company representative promoting "Registration For a Free Electricity Generator On a Residence" certificate.
As of the date of this report BBB has been unable to verify that International Tesla Electric Company has provided any North America Household or Church registered as a 'Certificate Holder' with a 'Free Electricity Generator'.
In addition, BBB has no verification that International Tesla Electric has held the 'National Demonstration Day' promoted for a number of years. According to the company's promotional literature, 1.6 million witnesses will be signed up before the 'Free Electricity Machine' will be demonstrated at National Demonstration Day.
Any consumer who has use of the company's "Free Electricity Machine" installed on their residence or any consumers wanting to provide additional information regarding their customer satisfaction experience with this company are asked to contact us.
