  I purchased a window air conditioning unit from this business on 3/16/2024. I was told on the phone by an employee before I arrived to the store that the unit works as intended. When I arrived, I was greeted by the Store Manager, Tyler. I told her I was interested in the window A/C unit I called about and she rung me up for it. Before I handed her the cash to pay for it, I asked again if it works as intended. She assured me that they test each item before they buy them, and then test them again before placing them on the sales floor. No employee gave me the opportunity to test the item before I purchased it, and I didn't feel that it was necessary because I had been assured twice that it works. When I brought the unit home and plugged it in, I discovered that it powers on and blows air but does not blow cold air, therefore I was lied to by two different employees when they told me it works AS INTENDED. I asked for a refund and was told that they don't give refunds, but Tyler told me that I could bring it back and sell it back to them but I wouldn't get as much as I paid for it ($40). When I arrived to ask what they would offer to buy it back, Tyler informed me that they won't buy it because it doesn't blow cold air. I called the Kingston location and they gave me the phone number for their District Manager, Tanya. Tanya explained the same thing Tyler did, that they won't be giving a refund nor will they buy it back. I was lied to, I was scammed, and I was robbed.
