    My son did not receive his deposit due to the complex stating there was evidence of my son having a pet. He has never had a pet in the home. We was informed that it was a tear in the carpet due to a pet, they stated when pulling that carpet up, the carpet had pet urine stains on the padding. Again he never had a pet. I asked was the carpet and padding new when he moved in and they stated yes.. again not true! We asked to see pictures of the carpet. We received the pictures and in the background there was cereal boxes on the kitchen counter. My son does not eat cereal and lived in the apartment complex alone. When we addressed the pictures sent was not my son apartment, they argued it was and in fact stated the cereal boxes was left in the cabinet. Every cabinet door was opened and cleaned and I personally looked in them all myself. Nothing was left in them. We was told that it was my word against theres and my son had to pay to have new carpet placed in the apartment. It was clear that they had the pictures mixed up with another apartment. This complex came up with so many reasons to not give my son his deposit back. We even had the apartment cleaned ourselves after we moved everything out. He only left a WiFi box in the complex which was still plugged in the wall. He turned the keys in at 4pm which was closing time and told at 8am the next business day that they have thrown the WiFi box in the trash. These apartments need to stop making up things on tenants to keep them from getting their deposit back..

    My Cherry Grove Apartments ordeal was a financial disaster and a harsh ****** in dishonest business practices. This warning to potential renters is a result of my experience. Arriving in ********* on April 1, 2024, my 4-year-old son and I were left homeless due to Cherry Grove's delays.Initially, Cherry Grove seemed like a good option for apartment hunting, but it turned into a bureaucratic nightmare and financial loss. I underwent a rigorous application process on April 4, 2024, providing all required documents promptly. Despite this, Cherry Grove needlessly prolonged the process.After paying a $265 application fee, I was notified on April 9, 2024, that my application was accepted. Following instructions in their welcome letter on April 10, 2024, I paid a substantial $1,972 deposit to secure the apartment. This marked the beginning of my frustrations.Despite my multiple submissions of employment proof, demonstrating income well above the rent, ***** informed me on April 12, 2024, that I was denied due to insufficient income. Strangely, my stated income on the application was lower than reality. Despite my efforts, Cherry Grove seemed disinterested in finalizing the lease, even though I complied with all requests.After expressing my frustration to ***** on April 12, 2024, I requested a refund, realizing their lack of intention to lease to me. Despite their initial approval and acceptance of fees, Cherry Grove callously refused to refund my deposit promptly, citing vague reasons. This ordeal could have been avoided had they communicated clearly from the beginning.
