I financed an air conditioner system from Jackson Heating and Air and it was installed on March 1, 2022. On July 15, 2024, my ac has quit working. I called the company and had a technician come to my house on July 15th. I was told the parts warehouse was closed and he would get back with me July 16th. I received a call from the technician on July 16th stating that the unit was no longer covered under warranty and that it was going to be $875 after a discount; however, I have a signed document from February 28, 2022 stating 10 year parts warranty and 10 year service warranty. I never received documentation stating what was covered and what was not.

The customer was given the documentation regarding what we as a company cover as far as warranties are concerned. The manufacturer's warranty is out of our control. She was made aware of this on multiple occasions. We did the same due diligence that we do with all installation of new equipment. Most all units that are manufactured specifically for mobile homes have limited, very specific warranties. Most only cover the first year for the entire unit, then specific parts fall out of warranty. All of this was explained to the customer at length. She used extremely foul & vulgar language with both my Office Manager & the Technician that ran the service call. To the extent that I as an owner called her to attempt to waive certain fees, retain her business & further explain what had already been explained to her by multiple people multiple times. She then proceeded to use very vulgar language & cuss at me as well. She was offered half off the repair & declined. Choosing instead to post slanderous accusations online & make MANY false claims. We've attempted to make this right & she has refused. She instead went with an ex-employee (who installed the system originally while employed with Jackson Heating & Air Conditioning but is no longer with the company due to embezzlement & theft) to make the repair. She's confused about how the warranties work & we've attempted to explain multiple times. There is nothing more we as a company can do, especially when you go ahead and have someone else make the repair instead of letting us make it right. (which we tried multiple times to do) *********** who made the repair either ate the cost of the part needed & lost money on the repair or she paid the exact same we would have charged because there is not a company who can get the part needed under warranty. It would be full price for any and every contractor. Per the manufacturer.
