I was on google doing research for a paper I was writing for school and got a pop up saying pornographic spyware was trying to be installed on my computer and my computer would not let me do anything or close anything out. It had a number and said to contact Microsoft right away to solve the issue but I later found out I had not talked to Microsoft and had let these people into my computer to supposedly "fix" it. I realized right away what had happened, called my bank, canceled the payment which was a check (red flag #1) and closed the bank account down all together. Took my computer to a local repair shop where he removed 97 viruses they had put on it!
