We hired this company to paint the ceilings and walls on the interior of our home we are renovating. I paid them half of the total of the job upfront to start. They painted the ceilings first. After they finished we observed the paint did not cover the ceiling adequately. I called them to come out and look but they never did come out. Since then the owner/project manager Hiram P*** has tried to convince me to only put one coat of paint on the walls and I disagreed because we signed a contracted with him to do 2 coats on the walls which he agreed to do when he signed the contract. He has not started on the walls yet because after the less than satisfactroy work on the ceiIings I've decide not to let him paint any further on our home. I had to purchase more paint and painted the ceilings myself to cover them adequately. I called him again and let him know that I would like a refund of 617.00 for the cost of the extra paint I purchased to do the ceilings correctly and he also charged us for the total job based on the home being 1800 sq ft at 2.50 per foot which came to 4500 for the job which I paid him 2250 up front to start. The home is 1675 sq ft x 2.50 = 4188 which is a difference in the cost of 312.00 plus the paint I purchased to be able to cover the ceiling adequately was 305 making a total of 617. I'm requesting a refund out of the 2250 he was paid upfront which he hasn't done 2250 worth of work at this point. I called him to let him know I was requesting a refund and he said give him a week and the week has passed and he never called me back. I will be satisfied to receive a refund of 617.00 Thank you for your help, **** ******
