They did a great job at a reasonable price. Showed up on time, got the tree down and did a great clean-up job.

I contacted East Tennessee Tree Service to remove one very large tree. The sales person explained how they would remove the tree with a bucket truck operating from my driveway. That seemed important to me since it would improve the ability to control the direction of the tree as they felled it. (It had to be dropped between a fence and rose bushes.) I was pleased that they were able to scheduled the job for the next morning at 8:30. The very polite crew of three eventually arrived over an hour late (offering no explanation). They did not have a bucket truck to work from the driveway. Instead, they brought a bobcat (with tracks) and after they dropped the tree (yes, you guessed it, on the rose bush), they used the bobcat to push the tree. Predictably this chewed up the yard and the grass.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. UNPROFESSIONAL. LEFT A HUGE HUGE MESS. Very poor communication. I feel the estimator, Jimmy, told me what I wanted to hear to sell the job. He gave me a daily rate for two days-his estimation of the work needed. After two days, it was apparent ETTS had greatly underestimated the level of effort or didn't send enough people. The only limbs they picked up were with machines using plastic pads they pushed along the ground. The result was hundreds of limbs left laying all over, totally denuded ground and dozens of roots from living trees sticking up everywhere. At the end of the second day, the crew simply left. There was no follow up to see if I was satisfied or wanted more work done. I asked Jimmy to come look, that it wasn't finished. He gave me a bunch of excuses and didn't come. Then I emailed the office. I got no response except daily calls requesting to be paid. They showed zero interest in doing any more work, regardless of what the contract said or the incomplete condition of the job. I am a 66 year old single woman. I spent two weekends and one week day picking up the debris ourselves and putting out straw and grass seed, but still didn't get it all. I posted a letter to them and was told they weren't aware I wasn't satisfied. ETTS offered to come do another day of work at no charge. I accepted. Then the office called to say the owner had to meet with me first. I agreed. The owner showed up with Jimmy and another employee and asked what the problem was with a scowl and an angry voice. Any problem I mentioned, Jimmy and the other guy denied. I felt threatened. I offered to show the owner examples but he refused. There was no mention of additional work, only wanting to be paid. I felt they had come to bully me into paying them and there had been no intention to do any further work. I asked them to leave.

Very professional... Sometimes things get rescheduled because of emergency tree jobs which is completely understandable. If I had an emergency I would want them to put someone else off for me... Jimmy was a very honest and helpful.. Explained everything in detail.. I appreciate East Tennessee tree service for the excellent Service they provide.. Definitely give them a call for all your tree needs!

4.8 stars is definitely not warranted. Don't expect any kind of communication nor keeping of dates. This company has come across as unprofessional and disorganized. Never a call back unless it is to cancel for one reason or another... if they put as much effort into the job at hand as making excuses then they might earn a second star rating. Definitely look elsewhere for a company that is reliable, dependable and who will communicate. We have several more tress we need to remove from our property and we will NOT be repeating the mistake of hiring this company.
Here's what they left behind (see photos) after I requested they use plates before driving over my newly installed drain pipes... which are now crushed... not only that they've damaged my new pool...
    Update:
Jimmy, their estimator, just rang me up at 8:30 p.m. complaining about this review in what could only be construed as an attempt at intimidation with the language he used... (by-the-way Jimmy, I don't have a contract with your company... all I have is a proposal which in your own words is non-binding)
I don't expect this company is going to do anything about the damage they've caused. If you want to call Jimmy directly and ask him, his number is:
    XXXXXXX.00
The name that comes up on my phone when he calls is D.ball... so I'd suppose his full name is Jimmy ****** I don't know...
I'm going to include some additional photos just incase there is any question as to who/ what caused the damage...
I had originally contacted this company in early May to have this one tree taken down... I was on the schedule for June 27th, witch they never showed-up for, received a phone call stating that the crew was taking longer on another job and wouldn't be able to do my job. Never received a call back for a re-schedule... mid July I called to see if I could get on the schedule only to be told the person doing the scheduling was on vacation. Was finally able to on the schedule for the 26th of July 2022. They never showed
