I believe in supporting small and women owned businesses when possible. BUT NOT THIS BUSINESS. Was directed to bring my nonworking machine to Jenice's home and was told if it only needs to be serviced it would be $80.00 and if the machine needed repairs she would let me know additional costs so I could decide if I wanted it repaired. Received an email "Hey I couldn't get your machine running. It comes on but doesn't run. You could order a new foot control we can try that." I said I would come pick up my machine. She emailed "There is a 40 dollar bench fee" which was not disclosed when I left the machine at her home, nor is the fee disclosed on her website. I paid $40.00 for Jenice to tell me what I already knew and speculate not diagnose what repair(s) needed to be made to get my "machine working to the best of its ability." Fells like a scam. Your reply was changed to say I did not tell you my machine was not working. My email to Jenice "Hi, I have an air electronic **** that is not working." I dropped off the machine with a witness who can confirm she was told it was not working.

I apologize for the misunderstanding. The best thing to do would of been to discuss this issue with me before posting a bad review. We would of worked it out. But I think it is very unfair of you to make such a bad review without even letting me know you were upset. I have been doing this for 17 years and I am a reasonable person. I would of been more than happy to resolve this issue.
When you picked your machine up you were extremely rude, didn't even say hello. That would of been an opportunity to speak with me about the issue but instead you chose to be rude.Customer Response

Bottom line Jenice has a undisclosed "bench fee" that is not told to you upfront or posted on her website. She advertises her services as a sewing machine repair. She was unable to provide a diagnose for my machine and in order for me to get my machine back I had to pay her this "bench fee." I had a witness with me, I was not rude and paid her the $40.00. We communicated via email prior to me picking up my machine and after words I have emails from Jenice that she would return half of the bench fee I paid. I asked her to mail it to me (I provided a printout with my contact information on it when I left my machine to be repaired). As of today I have not received any money. I stand by my review, to make people looking for sewing machine repair aware of her undisclosed fees. Still awaiting my refund.Jenice's Sew Right Repairs Response

I typed up all of my contact information which included my address which I handed to you when I dropped off my sewing machine to be repaired (with my witness). I have emailed you my address and included the BBB on the email. Please execute my refund ASAP.
