I purchased a ***** cavalier in April of 2024. It had less then 90k miles on it and ran well. After 5 months and a week the engine blew of catastrophic engine failure. It apparently had a small leak and had been leaking for several months. I had at the time been constantly refilling oil and was checking and trying to figure out what was the issue was. Was not quick enough. This office was quick to blame me for the problem even we shown evidence that this was a long-standing issue. Probably since before I purchased the car. They argued with me, but in the end, they sold me a 2010 Malibu full price while taking the cavalier and telling me I don't have to pay for the remaining balance but did not let any payment on the car to stack over to the next. the new to me malibu struggled to turn over when first turned on but ran well when test driving it. I purchase the car and did not start it again for two days later going to work. It won't start. Getting the owner out to me he verifies it doesn't start sometimes and instead of taking care of the issue it clearly had prior to me purchasing it. Told me to just press the gas and it'll start. I asked, well this is only temporary solution. what do I do when it doesn't start that way? he replied we'll cross that bridge if it does." fast forward 8 days shy of 90 days since I purchased the car the fuel pump goes out. He originally didn't want to come tow the car back to ************, because I was out in ******** at work. he finally came and got it late that night. After conversating, I said I feel like he's breaking lemon laws and I think he needs to take accountability and fix this issue. so now the owner is charging me for the tow. and I have to pay full labor cost and part cost in full before I can have my vehicle back. while still expecting this week's car payment. He has accused me of negligence car care and insulted my intelligence more than once. I have Txt messages showing our interaction. I need help or this will ruin me.

***** bought a car from us originally 4/5/2024. The car was in great shape with only 85,*** miles. After having the vehicle for months, something happened internally in the engine. The customer blamed us that we sold him a bad car. He stated the car was a lemon, even though it was perfect for months. I explained to him that sometimes things happen mechanically out of anyone's control with cars. He never showed me proof of oil changes. We did not sell him a lemon that was perfect for months and then had an engine failure. We aren't talking about a failed engine within days. It was months. He finally SEEMED like he understood. We put him in a different vehicle on 10/17/2024. The car did have a starting issue for him sometime after purchasing the vehicle. As he stated, I went out to his home, did not charge him anything, and the vehicle started for me simply by pressing the accelerator when I tried starting it. After that it started over and over back-to-back. I told him it could have been some kind of hiccup I wasn't sure because it was now working fine. again, months later the fuel pump went out on him while he was at work. I could not get to it right away to get it towed. I picked it up that night and had a mechanic diagnose it to be a bad fuel pump. ***** agreed to all fees for the tow and repair which we are currently in the process of now. I'm not sure the point of this or what he's wanting. Yes, he is responsible for repairs on a used car, yes, he is responsible for a tow bill. We have gone above and beyond for him to try and help him. Between his lack of mechanical knowledge, and wanting to just immediately blame us for everything, he has been impossible to please, reason with, or understand the situation. I am not debating really anything. He just doesn't not understand the fact that when you buy a used car you are responsible to repairs while you own it. it was an as is no warranty sale. We have thousands of happy customers, and I go above and beyond for them, but he has been rude and wrongfully accused me of running a shady business and selling him junk cars from the start. Yes, I have been rude in return because he has been unpleasable and attacking in nature. We are fixing the car from him currently. He is responsible for the bill, and after the repair is complete, we will not help him further again in any way. No other car lot would have put him in another car after how he acted when the first one failed on him and he blamed us for no reason, but we did. No other car lot owner would have dropped what they were doing to go and try and help him with his starting issue he had and charged nothing, but I did. You give an inch they want a mile, and some customers, it does not matter what you do to alleviate a situation, it isn't good enough and you will always be the bad guy. We are done trying.
