I went to murphys gas station and out gas. The pump stopped and I went inside to have them reset it so i could put the rest or and asked for my receipt. The attendant stated no she would not refund me even though I preceeded to show her my bank card charged ****** so I told her I wanted to put the remaining amount. She refused telling me the manager is outside somewhere so I went to look for them to refund me. A man told me it was too bad and I could go to another gas station. Instead of just refunding me the remainder or letting me get the rest my gas they chose to rip me off!!!!

On April 20, 2023, I stopped at the Murphy Oil in Athens, Tennessee, to fill up my 2015 Chevy Colorado. According to General Motors the fuel capacity of this vehicle is 21 US gallons. That morning I pumped 23.85 US gallons of gas from their pump into my truck. I reported the discrepancy to the station and the Tennessee Dept of weights and measures. While the state did test and confirm the accuracy of the pump later that day but they also noted that since I have documentation of the discrepancy in the form of a Murphy oil transaction receipt along with pictures of the transaction that there is sufficient evidence to request additional information from Murphy Oil. When I contacted Murphy Oil to request the additional data they denied all requests and refused to provide any additional information on this transaction. Murphy Oil customer service claims that since the State of Tennessee certified their pumps that the State of Tennessee is responsible. I just want someone at Murphy Oil to explain how you can put 23.85 gallons into a 21 gallon container or refund me the amount I was cheated at their station.

On 11/21/22 I filled up my 2019 Infinity Q70 at the Murphy gas station in Woodstock, IL. with 16.084 gallons of premium gasoline at a price of $72.36. Immediately upon leaving the station my vehicle began to run poorly and would not go over 40 mph. I was able to get my vehicle to a repair station that I normally use, Merlin's Auto Care in Cary IL. Upon inspection and pulling the engine code it was determined that the gasoline was the culprit which cause the poor vehicles performance. I immediately notified Murphys customer service which provided me the proper forms to fill out upon having my vehicle repaired. The gas was drained out of the tank and replace with gas from a local Shell station. The vehicle was returned to me running perfectly. All of the pertinent information was provided to Murphys on 11/28/22. I was told by Murphys that I would hear something on my claim by Friday 12/2/22. Never hearing anything I called Murphys on Monday 12/5/22 and was informed that my claim was denied. The bottom line is that the gas sold to me caused my vehicle not to run properly and Murphys has refused to accept liability.

So I stopped at murphys gas station on September 23rd at about 1pm ,a quick stop being I was on a lunch break and my suv was on E. I walked in and the 2 cashier working were super happy and laughing having a great time, seemed really welcoming. The cashier who helped me seemed newer and I asked for just 10$ on pump 5, paid for with my debt card ending in 5544. Immediately after going to my pump and selecting my fuel grade I noticed it wasn't working. Went back inside she looked up the transaction and said it never went through, I politely said it must have because it out of my account. The more experience cashier attempted to help her on and off for the next 3 minute before finally coming over and the 2 cashier ended up coming to the conclusion that "the money went back on your card". I said "okay that's fine but I need a receipt for the refund" that is when she figured out that someone had actually pumped my gas and they put it on pump 10. The more experienced cashier then told me to dispute it with my bank. I told her no that's illegal and fraud and this was her responsibility. She then shrugged her shoulders again and said "call your bank". Asked for a mangers number and was told it wasn't available till 430 am i had no spare money so I Called murphys customer service number and after a hour and the cashiers telling a lie to customer service agents claiming I paid cash . I was given a roll back code to pump my gas while the more experience cashier was outside on the phone complaining about me to her manager that wasn't available. While I was given my refund I wasnt deserving losing my job because i was on my final point and haf no chouse because hour and a half wasted was because I had no fuel to move.
