    I would love to give Green Thumbs ZERO STARS, but I am being forced to give at least one star... I ordered a Milkweed plant on August 10th and by Aug.31st. I still had never received it! Meanwhile, I had also ordered two plants from a different nursery, and received my plants about a week later. Green Thumbs NEVER answers their phone! And, though I left many, many messages they NEVER returned ky phone call. They did send emails, and stated, unapologetically, that: 1) This is the busy season for the post office 2) Reception is often poor, and try sending an email, 3) shipments are weather dependent. Three excuses to justify why it took three weeks before " a label was created" for my order. And, even though I had left countless voicemails, Green Thumbs NEVER CALLED ME BACK! They just kept sending emails. I called my bank and had them return my money. After I recieved my refund, I sent them an email and stated that any good business that had an unsatisfied customer, should PICK UP THE PHONE AND APOLOGIZE! They mentioned in one of their emails that they would never ship a plant in a heat wave, but I explained that the other nursery had gotten my plants to me before the heatwave and they were fine. I advise against using Green Thumbs nursery! Dealing with them was a very difficult process!

    Horrible customer service. Sent me wrong order. I located the customer whose order I received and personally shipped their (perishable) order to them via priority mail. Never received responses from phone calls/messages from this company. Email responses are few and far between, take forever, and are inaccurate. Bre emailed me once to say “thanks for shipping the order to the correct customer.” And in the same email also scolded me for doing so. “You should have waited for a return label from us.” Perishable product and a company that doesn’t respond to emails in a timely manner… I was happy to help out the poor customer who’s order I received (and by the way, had been unsuccessful in contacting the company about THEIR order) Last email I received from Bre said correct order would be reshipped on Tuesday… that was 2+ weeks ago, still no order or tracking number… this is over 2 months from initial order. Wish I would have seen all these complaints prior to spending $200+ with this company. The BBB complaints here paint an accurate picture of their business practices. Some delay in responding to customers during busy season is expected, but this has been extreme and unacceptable. How many emails could you get to in one 8 hour work day? If they truly have THAT many customer issues to deal with that they cannot respond to emails within a few days, that would also indicate a problem with this business. Buyer Beware. Will most likely have to dispute credit card charge since no response from emails/phone calls. (Why have a phone number if you are not going to answer phone or respond to voicemail messages???)

    We purchased apple trees 6/25/23 that came with all the tops broken and damaged. Was told we'd rec replacement tree's but now 8/15/23 we have zero. Requested a refund and never heard back from them. Don't waste your time or money with this company.

    I purchased 2 Sargent apple trees from Green Thumbs Nursery. When they arrived they looked sketchy but I decided to plant and give them a chance. When my sixty other apple trees, many of which I grafted myself broke dormancy there was no signs of life with the 2 trees. I wrote to Green Thumbs and their reponse was that I should of read their policy that they do not take back trees that were planted. What a ridiculous policy and a rip off of $40.00. I have never been treated like this by any other nursery in all my years of working in the garden and having an orchard. I strongly advise anyone wanting to purchase a plant to get it from anywhere else other than green thumbs as most places including mail order have a 1 year policy. I hope Green Thumbs changes their ways and then prospers but for right now I would say be prepared to lose your hard earned dollars if you get a bad plant.
