My boat was left there for a tune up and hydraulic fluid in July 2023. I picked up boat took to lake test drive still had original issues that I took it there for. I returned it to them I was concerned when I dropped it off and told them not to leave it parked on the street. They left it parked on the street and it was hit by someone. They are refusing to file a claim or give me their insurance information.

We have long waiting list on our boat repair side. access to parts, availability , weather conditions, etc. all play a part in the speed of repair.

The customer dropped off the boat next to the curb in the street next to our shop. We park vehicles along the curb periodically and have never had any problems.

This was a hit-and-run situation. A police report was filed and our customer was provided with our insurance information. The customer picked up the boat and declined my offer to help repair or facilitate in the repair.

    Complaint: 21262346

I am rejecting this response because:

Business filed a police report but stated they are unsure if when the boat was hit by an unknown individual. And then they waited another week before informing me. They did not inform me until I called to check on the boat. Business only provided me with Insurance information after a report to the bbb was made. After calling the Insurance company they stated that the owner of the business MUST file a claim. I cannot file a claim with the insurance company, due to the type of policy the business has. Business owner is refusing to file a claim and the boat is unrepairable a total loss according to another boat repair shop.

    Sincerely,

Had my car taken here for some issues with fuses and for a full diagnostic to make sure I didn’t have any other problems. They told me it was a loose connection at the fuse box and that they cleaned and tightened. $211 total. First day i drove my car after getting it back it started heating and wouldn’t start. I called the shop to tell them, and was told to bring it back. I was trying to say that I would have to have it towed so it may be a little bit but the person who answered (*****) cut me off, yelling at me, saying that they weren’t paying for a tow bc they “didn’t ***** do this”. When my husband popped the hood we saw that the radiator fan fuse was blown, went to oreilleys and bought a $6 fuse and my husband replaced it. When I posted about my experience on FB ***** commented to tell me that my car was brought in as a no start (it wasn’t) and that my fuses weren’t the only problem (they were). I think it’s probably safe to say that they likely did not even look at my vehicle, much less run a diagnostic, or they would have caught the blown fuse in the fuse box they supposedly tightened the connection on. Not only did they do a crappy job, or no job at all, they charged over $200 for it, yelled / cursed at me, and refused to take any sort of responsibility and then took to their Facebook page to post childish memes further pretending they did nothing wrong.

"This vehicle was brought in on a wrecker as a no start. We found a problem with a electrical connection at the fuse box and repaired the connection. The car started and ran we contacted the customer and told her what was going on with it. She did not ask for any other repairs to be done at that time and she came in to pay and pick up her vehicle. The only thing this car was brought in for was that it would not start and nothing else.  When she called our shop ***** answered and before he could tell her our warranty would pay for her tow, she cussed him out and hung up on him. All of our work is guaranteed and we stand behind our work."
