4/16/2024 I went to look at a car and spoke to a gentleman named Tom. I test drove the car, looked it over, etc. The following day the same man called my banking institute, even though I very clearly told him not to (I have screenshots). He told them I was interested in getting a loan through them (even though I already have one). He then tried to coerce me into getting a loan through his preferred credit union. I then got multiple calls from my bank with them asking me if I was interested in getting a loan BECAUSE this man gave my name and number.

So she came in saying she was pre qualified to buy but she wanted brakes fixed first on vehicle she was looking at. The next day, Tom had another customer interested in the same vehicle and could not get ahold of her so he did call her bank. She was not pre qualified and I believe got embarrassed because Tom found out. He was simply seeing what stage her loan was in so he knew whether or not to sell vehicle as well as fix vehicle. Nevertheless, they already had her contact information because it was her bank. If she asked not to contact, he probably shouldn't have but we have relationships with about every bank in town and Tom has been selling cars for 20 plus years and knows everyone. We sell 30-40 cars a month and its just Tom and I so we have to work quickly and more than likely Tom just forgot that she requested not to talk to bank. Tom didn't have the bank pull her credit or anything and I apologize if she had to answer a few phone calls but Tom was actually looking out for her, didn't want to sell a car out from under her.

I bought a car from Charley's Autos in Amarillo, Tx. The very next day we noticed leaking under the car. We told the dealer. He sent it to a mechanic to be fixed. When we got the car back it was still leaking. He told us to have it towed back to him and he would fix it. We did as he asked. I periodically contacted him asking about progress. He did not fix it and kept the car for 3 months ignoring us. We still do not have our car.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/23) */ This is Correct up to the last few sentences. So the first time the car was brought back, our mechanic did a block test a long with some other fixes. ******* called Tom and told him they were having more issues with the car and the bill was going to be over 3k dollars to fix. I personally called the manager at the shop we use and he said he can do the same repairs for $1600. I explained to ******* that we aren't that type of car lot and would fix the car for her. They did have the car towed from Hereford to Amarillo. Upon arrival, the manager from the mechanic shop called and said that the vehicle was driven hot for too long and it has warped the heads on the vehicle and melted a piston. I emailed ******* May the 19th at 9:03 am to tell her the news. I explained to her that this was a totally different issue and that it was going to cost twice as much and we wouldnt be able to cover all the repair. She never emailed me back. The manager at the shop we use told us that ******* had called saying she was going to get an attorney. I told them to stop what they were doing. Tom - my salesman emailed her and told her if that is the route she wants to go, that we were done. My attorney advised me to cease communication with her and let them handle. We had the vehicle towed at our expense back to Hereford on June the 17th. We have all emails to back this up. People don't realize that service and parts aren't the same as it was pre covid19. Stuff takes longer and parts are scarce. ******* decided to contact her attorney, so from this point forward, she can contact Kenneth Natardus- our attorney. She has also reported us to dealer enforcement and Mr.Natardus is taking care of that for us. We have done nothing wrong and everything that has been done thus far is because of the way ******* has handled her part. Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2022/06/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) This dealership kept our car for 3 months. The last email we received said they could not cover the expenses to fix the car after they said they would fix it. We never received another email or any communication after that. We felt that they were just keeping our car until we got frustrated and gave up. I'm One of Charley's emails, he states that the car was not inspected properly and should never have been sold to us before inspection. This is his admission to wrong doing. We paid $15,000 for a car that does not work. Now it will cost another few thousand to fix it. The car should have never been sold in that shape. What he did was wrong and he did not make it right in an appropriate amount of time. We would like a refund. Thanks
