On, June 26th, 2024, I made an agreement with Ranch Fencing and Contracting also known as Big Foot Fencing. I informed them that I needed a fence 15x6 completed on or before July 5, 2024. They informed me that this timeline is tight but that they would be able to complete the project. I received a text informing me that they would be able to complete the job ahead of schedule, July 1 or July 2nd. On July 3rd they informed me that the job would be completed on July 5th as originally agreed on. The fence was paid in full on June 26th so there would be no delays. On July 6th I received a note that the gate from ********** did not arrive. . I was informed on several occasions that the gate would be complete. It is now July 29th, they installed the gate door, but no one can get into the back yard and they had more than 2 weeks to fix thisBusiness response

Ms. ******* paid $1500 for her fence and gate to be installed. That money paid for material and labor. Her fence and gate were a special order from *********** We paid for her material immediately so we could get the special order going. We were aware that Ms. ******* wanted her fence done on a specific date. About a week to get special orders is normal. After a week we were notified from ********** that her material was on back order. We kept Ms. ******* up to date on all issues. Two weeks later than expected her material came in and we started to put her fence up. The first day she had landscapers there and we were just able to take her old fence down. We were told that the landscapers needed to finish before we could come back to install the fence. A week went by before we were able to come back. We installed her fence and gate. We sent her pictures and she said thank you and we left. Now she says we didn't finish in a timely manner so she wants her money back. I don't feel that's right because her fence is up. She shouldn't get it for free because of the interruptions that occurred with ********** and her landscapers.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because of the following :1) As agreed to the fence was supposed to he completed on July 5th. Fence was paid in full on June 26th. Giving ample time for the gate to be ordered. I work with ********** on many projects and the dates they provide are the dates they adhere to. I find it difficult to believe that the gate arrived late. I feel the gate was never ordered .
2) Landscapers were working on July 8th when they did come to remove the fence. But they were only laying gravel and they were done in less than 20 minutes .
3) Fence was not completed until July 20th after several voice messages and several text. Not providing me with any reason why they did not come back on July 9th to complete the project .
4) Attached are photos showing that the fence is not complete and the gate does not work. You need to lift it in order to open it .
This case is yet to be resolved. It will be resolved when I get a gate that works and when the fence is finished.

MS. ******* clearly states that she filed this complaint because of communication Issues. I believe that this is the wrong reason to file a Complaint. Especially to Better Business Bureau. Communication skills; some people have them, some people don't, it's all a matter of opinion. Some people like to be kept in the loop and some people.. You get the point. In closing, her fence was put up beautifully. I took pictures, I shared them with you. Yes, we do need to work on our communication skills.But I don't believe that's any reason to have a complaint against us. And there's no reason for her to receive a free of charge gate and fence.

I want to make one thing clear. I an not trying to get a FREE fence as what I was accused of doing . All I want is a Fence / Gate that Works .
I am rejecting this response because:
As of today the GATE STILL DOES NOT WORK. The Gate is completely crocked . I did not pay for poor workmanship and or insults of trying to get something for free. I am at the point of taking ******* advice and have them remove the fence and just give me my money back. We part ways and I find someone else to install a proper fence where the 4x4x8 post are installed 2 feet below the ground and not having to cut post to fit. I do have a video of how the gate closes. NO ONE would accept this kind of workmanship .

Ms. ******* had left a message about her gate not functioning properly so my husband and I went over and replaced her gate free of charge, and we took a video and I wanted to present that as evidence on my behalf.

Complaint: 22062116
I am rejecting this response because:So, we can close this issue, I have the following proposal.
1) Fence and Gate is 15x6 ft - cost $1500.00
2) Gate is not what was proposed. They went to ********** and purchased D&D 2-7/8 in. x 3-3/4 in. Black Self-Closing Metal Gate Hinge (2-Pack) for $38.70 along with a cheap latch that does not open or close properly.
3) Fence posts were not installed properly. The 4x4x8 post needed to be installed all at the same height 2ft below ground. This did not happen. Two (2) posts were at the same height while 2 other posts were only installed at 1 6 below ground level. To remedy this situation, they cut the post and they cut the post crooked.
4) In addition one (1) sprinkler was damaged twice when the posts were installed.
I have proposed to release the amount of $970.00 to close this issue and both parties go our separate ways.
Below is the breakdown
Current cost of Fence
$ 1,500.00
Cost to replace Gate
$ 500.00
Cost of Latch
$ 30.00
Total to be released
$970.00
In addition, I will remove all negative posts.
If not, then they are more than welcome to come pick up the fence. They will be only allowed onto the property when I am physically there to ensure that no damage is done to the property.
I patiently await your response .

All I have to say is my husband and I have done everything in our power to make Ms ******* happy. We replaced a perfectly working gate free of charge.. Her rejection message, I believe she is just reaching now. Its very clear to me that shes nit-picking and trying to find an issue with her fence.
Thank you.

I have brought (2) other fence companies to look at the fence and they both have confirmed that the Gate is crooked and does not swing shut. The photos speak for themselves. Again I have no issue closing this complaint if they decide to agree to the following terms.1) Fence and Gate is 15x6 ft - cost $1500.00 which was paid in advance and in full.
2) Gate is not what was proposed. They went to ********** and purchased D&D 2-7/8 in. x 3-3/4 in. Black Self-Closing Metal Gate Hinge (2-Pack) for $38.70 along with a cheap latch that does not open or close properly.
