I have tried to contact Devslopes for a cancellation of contract and I have not received any response. It has been more than four months now and I have continuously messaged and texted Devslopes staff and I have received no contact from anyone.. I have look up if this has happened to any other people and found a lot of other clients feeling scammed because they have a $10,000 debt and the program isnt providing anything they promised before I signed up.

    Dear ***********,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.

At Devslopes, we strive to maintain transparency and integrity in our agreements with students. We value the feedback we receive, as it helps us continually improve our programs and services.

Upon review of your complaint, I would like to address your concerns directly:

    Refund and Cancellation Policy:
The enrollment agreement you signed on 4/30/2024 explicitly outlines the terms of the program, including the refund and cancellation policy. It states that students have a 10-day window to withdraw from the program and request a cancellation of their loan agreement. This policy is standard practice and complies with all applicable laws and regulations governing educational institutions and consumer agreements.

    Signed Agreement:
By signing the agreement, you acknowledged and agreed to the outlined terms, including the refund timeframe. Legally, this signed document serves as a binding contract between Devslopes and yourself, and we are obligated to uphold its terms. This ensures consistency and fairness for all students enrolled in the program.

    Communication and Resolution Attempts:
According to our records, your request to withdraw was received on 12/3/24, which falls after the 10-day cancellation period. While we understand that circumstances can change, the terms of the agreement do not allow for refunds or cancellations beyond this period. We regret if there was any misunderstanding regarding the timeframe, but our team is committed to ensuring that all students are fully informed of these terms during the enrollment process.

We apologize if you feel your concerns were not addressed in a timely manner. If you still have outstanding questions or require further clarification, please feel free to contact us directly at ******************************** While we cannot alter the terms of the agreement, we are happy to assist in exploring alternative solutions to ensure you receive value from our program.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We remain committed to your success and look forward to resolving this matter amicably.

    Best regards,
    Devslopes Academy

I am rejecting this response because:

I was never made aware of a 10 day cancellation before or after signing contract. Your employee ******* stated the contract only mentioned I had to attend and follow program rules. He lead me on to sign quick and said I would be making a lot of money never mentioned anything about a 10 day cancellation . Your business practice is unethical, 10 day cancellation for a ****** school loan and you coincidentally dont even mention it once during our interview. There has to be a way to cancel.

Hello, my name is *********************** and on September 20, 2023 I had joined the Devslopes program, but due to my PC becoming unusable and medical issues I was unable to start the course. Later on Oct 31, 2023 I contacted a recruiter named **** about my situation and asked if I could cancel and refund the course and he said yes, however the course was never cancelled and I have been getting charged for the affirm purchase since then. I would like to follow up on this with the course canceled and the purchase amount of $1200 refunded as was requested.

I contend that I have fallen prey to targeted exploitation by a company that presented enticing promises of achieving a six-figure income within a brief timeframe. Contrary to their representation, they did not provide information about a free beginner web development course, and my attempts to assess its suitability were thwarted. Subsequently, I found myself obligating to an electronic contract for a $10,000 loan through Climb Credit, lacking a clear and transparent understanding of the terms. The financial strain escalated as I anticipated the promised income, which left me unable to cover the loan and other expenses.Upon attempting to address the matter with Climb Credit, the lending institution redirected me to DevSlopes. Regrettably, reaching out to DevSlopes post-loan agreement has proven to be challenging, with only email, a Discord server, and a text-only phone line at my disposal, the latter yielding unreturned calls. A multitude of negative reviews underscores the dubious practices of the company. Unfortunately, due diligence to verify the legitimacy of the company was hindered, leading to the ***** signing of the contract, which I intend to share alongside unfavorable reviews.

I believe that I was targeted and exploited by this company by being misled by extravagant promises of a six figure income with just **** months of commitment. The company advertised a free beginner web development course, however, I was not given the option to take that course to see if it would even be something I was capable of and comfortable with. Before long, they had me electronically signing a contract for a $10000 loan, I was not exactly clear about what I was signing or committing to at the time. I have a learning disability and ADD and other documented mental health problems. I feel as if I have been taken advantage of and now I am stuck with a $10000 loan I dont want and cannot afford. The lender is Climb Credit and based out of **********. I was able to talk to Climb by phone to explain and back out of my loan agreement, however, they said that it was a matter I needed to address with DevSlopes. DevSlopes makes it very difficult to contact them once they get you to sign the loan contract, they are only available by email and a chat group called Discord. They have a text only line and another phone line for leaving a message and they claim they will return your call, *** left several messages, but to no avail. There have been several poor reviews about this company, I will upload them below. Unfortunately, I was not able to check out the legitimacy of this company prior to hastily signing a contract which I will also upload and share as well.

I entered the program known as DevSlopes on May/2023. This is a software development coding bootcamp teaching program. I asked them if there was any sort of job placement within the program upon completion as this was a deal breaker for me. He advised me that DevSlopes does not offer job placement; but they do however, if you maintain 85% throughout the program, guarantee a first interview with one of their affiliated companies. I didnt know if this was a good thing or not. He further explained that most companies in the tech world comprise their first interview process as a demonstration of skills, so a guaranteed interview is great, but it would depend on me to go further. After hearing this, although let down that there was not direct job placement, I was still happy that they were at least offering this. I was given a discount for the program for my previous profession of being a first responder and thanked for my service. I had several meetings with the student success coach which was regular for all students each week. I was unable to track how I would know if I was meeting the 85% throughout the program; so I asked. The student success coach had no clue what I was talking about and I had to explain the whole thing to her to which I had spoke to the recruiter on the phone about upon my signing up. I also spoke of this information to another employee hoping to get pointed in the right direction and the response was the same. She said that I should speak with the *** ************************* directly regarding this. He finally responded to me and said he listened to the call and could see how I could have been confused at that. But he did not offer me a solution. But he said that there is no such thing in the DevSlopes program I would like a refund due to a total and intentional breach of contract on DevSlopes part and I am reaching out to you today in hopes that you will help me as I am now being ignored by them. Thank you for your time.
