I notified CareerPlug about a business that was abusing their services to post thousands of fake job listings. For 3 months they have been "investigating" this abuse of their services, and have not had the business remove them.

    Dear BBB,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. CareerPlug, LLC (CareerPlug) appreciates the opportunity to address Mr. ******** concerns regarding one of our customer's job listings.
We take all user concerns seriously and strive to provide the highest level of service. We have carefully reviewed the complaint and included its key points here: Mr. ******* a jobseeker, notified CareerPlug about a business he believed was abusing our services to post what he believed to be fake job listings. Mr. ****** continued to reach out as our Support team promptly informed him that our internal Trust & Safety team was investigating his complaint of abuse of our service terms. Mr. ****** wanted the job listings removed from our system.

While we cannot disclose specific details due to confidentiality restrictions, we can confirm that we worked diligently to resolve the situation, including verifying that the job listings in question were not fraudulent.  Further, we encourage best practices and expect our users to operate within our Terms of Service (********************************************************).

CareerPlug has been responsive to *************************** regarding this matter. Our Support and Trust & Safety teams have actively investigated the reported abuse and have taken steps to address the complaint with the employer, who posts jobs through our software, to more thoughtfully consider their practices related to jobseeker experience.

We understand that Mr. ****** may still be dissatisfied with his jobseeker experience. We will continue to monitor the situation and take action to coach our customers on best practices for recruiting.

    Thank you,

    ***** *****, President

    Complaint: 22604158

I am rejecting this response because: I have tried many times to contact the business to fill the open position, but they have repeatedly told me that there is no position available. I have attached evidence of some of the correspondence. CareerPlug should be able to verify that there was a opening listed at that time, if not, I have attached screenshots that show there was an opening listed at that time.

    Regards,

Dear BBB and Mr ***************** reason staff at the retailer location are not aware of any open roles is because all job postings and hiring for the business in question is centralized at their corporate office that oversees hundreds of locations of this retailer in the ***  Location-based awareness of job openings and hiring activities is not how they operate.

The job posting practices for that centralized office are to always have a passive job posted and constantly recruit for the roles that have the most frequent openings.

The job listing is not fake or scam.  We would encourage you to contact the corporate recruiting head office for the business location in question directly (they are in ******, **) to validate that the job listing is in fact legitimate and intentionally active and therefore not in violation of our terms of service, regardless of adherence to recommended best practices when posting jobs.

    Thank you,

    CareerPlug, LLC

    Complaint: 22604158

I am rejecting this response because: I have tried over multiple days to call the number listed on *********s website. The number when called is for ************, both the general inquiries options for ************ and ********* support does not pick up. I have even left a voicemail in my original call and no one has responded. I have contacted these people with no response:

    ******* ******* - CEO *********

    **** ***** - COO *********

    ******** ****** - Hiring *********

    ********* ***** - District Manager

    ******* ***** - Manager at nearby *********

***** - Manager at the ********* in question

It is clear to me that they have no intention on filling this position. Therefore the listing is fake, and possibly hundreds of others. They have more positions open than they have stores, which is very unlikely to be genuine.

    Regards,

    ******* ******
