On 1/13/23 at 6:00pm I arrived at St. Davids Medical Center emergency room on the advice of my plastic surgeon as I developed a hematoma in my left breast after surgery the prior day. My plastic surgeon met us at the ** and prepped for surgery to stop the bleeding. The ** doctor did not have to perform a Comprehensive medical history, make any medical Decisions or present the severity of the problem. In fact, I dont even remember seeing any doctor as those attending me were nurses and appeared to be St. Davids employees.Following a successful surgery my plastic surgeon attended me and made all decisions concerning my care up til release at 1:00am.Afterwards I received a bill for $1,526.00 for ** doctor services by Longhorn ** services, clinician ******************* MD. There was no explanation of service rendered except CPT Code ***** Level 5.I called Longhorn several times requesting an itemized list of services provided. On 5/2/23 Longhorn via **************** ********************* said they would have my request escalated for review and they would get back to me in a few days. Over the next 3 weeks I heard nothing from ***** ********************* or Longhorn except receiving repeated bills for the original charges. On 5/22/23 I called ********************/Longhorn again and was told they could not provide an itemized bill and that I was responsible for the total amount due. I told the representative (named ****, a very nice young man) who understood my position but there was nothing they could do. I told Will I could not justify paying this invoice without an itemized list of services and the account would most likely go to collection.Shortly after reviewing the entire experience with Longhorn, I decided to file a complaint with the BBB so others may not have to experience this type of strong arm charges by Longhorn Emergency Medical Assoc, PA.

I am rejecting this response because:  my request was for Longhorn to send me a detailed billing report of activities performed.  Their response is to send this to my insurance company.  I have no insurance coverage for this procedure.  Lets see what happens after 30 days.  Perhaps Longhorn will write off the charges completely.

    Regards,
