In mid September we had Steam Masters of ****** come to our home. He worked all day. At one point I heard another persons voice and was mildly alarmed he brought a colleague into my home without letting me know. Hours later, I came downstairs after working all day and the stairs were soaked. He said a line broke and water got everywhere but he cleaned it up and just had a little work to do. The downstairs was still wet with furniture pushed against the walls. I asked how much left he had to do and he said not much. Because I was concerned the house was such a mess and he had been there for 7+ hours already I just wanted him to finish and asked my husband to pick up the kids on the way home from work. I went back to my home office and continued to work hoping hed wrap soon. 2 hours later I went downstairs as my kids/husband were getting home and it was still a mess. Furniture against the wall. Even furniture in the wrong room dining room furniture had been moved to my side room etc. He apologized for the delay and mess and left. The stairs were sopping wet for FIVE days afterward. They finally came back out to treat the carpet on the stairs and the closet under the stairs that was also soaked. We realized the items under the stairs were ruined - wrapping paper, boxes, and the leaf to our dining room table. Water has soaked through the stairs to that closet floor. It still smells musty under there and its been 2 months. Not only did they refuse to pay us for the ruined items but they wouldnt even refund us and stopped answering our emails. I wish I never let them into my home. Not only am I out $900 but it cost me $1000+ to replace the items and deodorize and clean the carpet myself. Our side room laminate has a board peeling up because clearly it flooded in there and wasnt cleaned. Our area rug in the living room that I rolled up in preparation for the tile work was soaked.
