Worst travel insurance. I bought a plan from this company for a trip to ****** from ******. I spent over $15000 for the vacation and had a great time. However my returned flight from ********* to ****** had a connection in ***** and the connecting flight got cancelled. My husband and I ended up staying in ***** overnight, the airline sent us to a hotel and booked us to another flight for the next day. We had to spend money for food, we had to eat 3 meals: dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day. We paid mostly cash since we had euros with us and only used our credit cards a little bit. Upon our return to ******, I called Redpoint and someone told me to file a claim, I couldnt do it online, I made multiple calls and they sent me a form which I filled and faxed to Redpoint. I only claimed 200 euros although I knew I had spent more for our 3 meals each in *****. I explained to them that I didnt have all the receipts because I paid cash for our food and didnt save the receipts, they denied my claim saying that I needed to show proof. That doesnt make sense to me, the policy says that they will reimburse $100 up to $ 500 a day per person for delay / cancellation for 24 hours and our flight was cancelled and we had to stay overnight , spending more than 24 hours. I faxed all the info showing the flights cancellation and rescheduled for the next day, they still denied my request for meals expenses. Dont they know people have to eat, could we stay with no food for over 24 hours? I am so frustrated and disappointed, I dont really care about 200 euros, it is just a matter of principle, why do we buy travel insurance when they make it so difficult to get any reimbursements when something goes wrong?

Redpoints complete denial of my claim of $ ****** for a pre-existing condition is unreasonable and not supported by the evidence I submitted. Before the infection (osteomyelitis) onset in the 3d digit left toe diagnosed on March 1, 2023nine (9) days before the start of my planned trip to Moroccomy pre-existing condition was and still is heavy calluses and neuropathy (lack of feeling) in both feet. There was a risk the calluses could crack and become infected. I have lived with heavy feet calluses, developed playing sports as a youth, for over 50 years. I thought I was insuring this risk. Under Redpoints position on pre-existing conditions, I will always be denied a cancellation claim for a foot problem unless I purchase Redpoints policy within 21 days of my first deposit for a trip.I also have cardiomyopathy, arterial stents and a pacemaker. So, if I have a heart attack the day before departure for a Redpoint insured trip, Redpoints position would be to deny entirely the cancellation claim. I hereby demand Redpoint immediately refund the premium I paid to Redpoint of $1,387.00. Under settled insurance law Redpointby its own admissionhad no risk to insure. The insured is legally entitled to all premiums paid.I am also examining other options including suit in Travis County, *****, and an official complaint before the ***** ********************* If other travelers booking through the Texas Exes program learn of my situation, I doubt Redpoint will sell its travel policies to many of them.****************************** Attorney

After 6 months this company denied our claim which was a legitimate claim. After all I've read now, I see that I should have researched this company prior to purchasing their so called insurance. I don't recommend this travel insurance. They are only in business to take your money. Buyer beware!
