  My memory is not as good as it once was but I can assure you everything I'm telling you is the truth a little over a month ago my sister and I went into this shop in question talk to a young man who is the owner's son about the problems I'm having with my 99 ***** Civic when I explained it the problem he said it could be the fans causing the oil problem instead of the head gasket that I initially thought it was but he was going to check it out so I took my car drove it up to the shop left the keys in it for them to test the fans almost another week and a half later I called up there to find out what is the deal with it and they quote me an ungodly amount of money for things I never even asked them to do they had no authorization to do anything but check the fans so I go up there to pick up my car and it won't start there's water going into the number one plug none of this was happening before I took the car there I've asked them to please contact me once it's fixed back to the way it was when I drove it up there I get no recalls I get no return calls I've called up there many of times I work I have to rely on other people because they have my car I don't always get back in time for the shop to be open to go in there and discuss this they're avoiding me my car is just sitting up there unlocked my brand new dumpster cables got stolen out of it while in their possession I make $800 a month I'm barely having enough money now to make my rent I just want my little car back the way it was when I took it up there and good faith and they won't do anything can you please help me get this matter resolved whatever they broke whatever they messed up they need to fix please somebody help me...

  Vehicle was brought to the shop with the understanding that the vehicle had been burning coolant indicating a possible blown head gasket and the customer wanted a second opinion. Upon intial inspection we found that the car had been overheated to the point that the radiator filler neck had warped and a radiator cap was unable to hold cooling system pressure.  There were also coolant leaks from both radiator hoses due to having been overheated causing the hoses to swell past the point of sealing. In order to determine whether or not the excessive cooling system pressure was coming from internal combustion, I performed a block test to verify that there were internal combustion gasses in the cooling system with the results indicating a blown head gasket. I proceeded to perform a compression test and leakdown test to see if the motor was able to be saved or if the cylinders had been washed out by coolant from the failed headgasket due to the overheating. From the results of the compression and leakdown test the motor was deemed savable but in need of a major internal engine repair. After all testing was finished and quote was supplied to customer the vehicle was parked in a running condition. Customer was provided quote and declined repairs.  The vehicle sat on property for a week if not more after the customer was notified. When the customer arrived to pick up vehicle it would not start and it was found that the distributor was inoperational. The customer then proceeded to shout profanities at all near by as we attempted to get the vehicle diagnosed to let her take it. Also, the customer was not charged for her diagnosis and I did not do anything to cause the repairs needed for her vehicle.  Running a vehicle in an overheating condition can and will damage electronics due to excessive heat.
