  My wages are being garnished as of 09/07/2023 I am not responsible for this debt and when being served it was done illegally I am not ************************** I'm a victim of fraud on my credit report I did file a police report which I will get within in 10 days was this notice I received from the county of sacramento was done 10/28/21 and got served 08/29/23.

  I have submitted  a fraud  identity  theft number through  **** of ************* ****** also submitted a cease and decision letter to **** of ************* and also filed a identity  theft form through **** of ************* and I was not served until 2 years later there also a freeze on my credit file  have updated  credit file and they are not on them have been disputing  this for 6 months ago filed with identity  theft website  ******** got a letter of an affidavit  from **** of ************* September  29th 2023 for victim identity  theft  I don't owe you anything   thank you

  I have submitted  documentation  to Scott and associates  firm  via fax on  12/03/********* pm there are 9 pages I sent to them  receipt number ***** not very good at uploading  documentation  so I faxed  to their office I would like a resolution  to this as they are not on my credit reports and would like the garnished part to  stop as I don't owe this firm.   I was served illegally  by ************************* which is now Scott and Associates furthermore when I was served by this firm back in 2021 for something that is not on my credit  file I never got that letter and didn't  get it until  2 years later and I found it through  an attorney  that it's invalid   claim

  Hi this in response  to the chat we spoke  about  between September 14 to September 29 letters were sent **** of ************* fraud department   claim  number 230817g192db also they have this on file that I had sent this   **** of ************* fraud fact act form which  I filled out which has another number attached  807622  how they identify  the case with   since they are not on my credit file  I filed a complaint  with the federal trade  commission  for fraud report number ********* on the 14 of December  a police  report  filed  sac pd T23014357 for fraud  this one was filed 10 29 2023  I would like  for the garnishing  to stop this  or I will pursue  with suing this firm for illegally  garnishing  my wages  ***********; **********************;

  Upon reading  the laws in ************** wage Garnishment  for consumer  debt is prohibited  in these states TEXAS  **************  NORTH  CAROLINA  AND PENNSLYVANIA there  for they are attorneys  who are not following  the law  I don't live in **********  I live in ** I going to keep discussing  this matter until I get my money back for a debt that's not on my credit file

  ** formally lived at the previous  addressbut never got the paperwork  supposedly  you sent to my address  not even forwarded  to this home where I currently  reside I left **********  ** in 2022 but never received  paperwork  for a judgement in 2021 got the judgement from Scott and associates  not ************************* which scott and associates  took over this please stop garnishing  my wages as I have given you all the information  necessary  and you are not on my credit file

  Back at my previous  address I never got a summons or a judgement from ************************* for a credit  card that is not on my credit  file I never received  anything  in the till this year 2023 and in 2021 it was taken  over by you scott and associates  for garnished  wages  that I'm not responsible  for and  your not on my credit file furthermore  I no longer live at my previous  address I have went through  your **** of America's fraud department  claiming that I was a victim  of fraud  and sent the necessary  information  and documents  to your as well as the fact act forms  I filled  out which  I sent your firm so please stop garnishing  my wages  for a judgement or paperwork  I never received  at my previous  address   ***********************************;

  One  more thing I filed a fraud case with **** of ************* back  in September 2023 and October  2nd 2023 # *******G192DB and # ****** fraud  Department  phone # *********** they are also  investigating  this which I first filed they are in the process  of escalating  this case which you have not responded to any of my disputes regarding  this fraud as I told you stop as this is being  investigated  stop garnishing  my wages  which you are still doing

  Hello on 12 /18/2023 I have followed  the instructions  that you gave me I have responded to this but they have not responded  just today I got a letter from them I've sent documents  to their firm regarding  identity  theft and fraud through the federal  trade commission they do have the ** number  on the cease  and decist  letter  like I said I was never served any papers  by the previous  law firm ************************* I only got the paperwork  from Scott and associates  June of this year at this address I currently  reside I have no knowledge of  any paperwork  from that ************************* firm I've submitted a fraud  id number  through  bank  of America  if you look at the responses a gave also there's a police report  number  I also gave to you I responded  3 different  times within the last  week  I want this closed  I also gave you an updated credit  report  which you have on file if you need anything else you can call this number  your bank  of America  fraud department   ************ which they have all the information   also thank you

  On 12 15 2023 I sent pages which you need to look at sac pd report number  for fraud filed on October 0f 2023 online numberT23024357 I filed it that one  fact report should be there with more numbers I gave you I explained  everything  to you have to look at my responses for the month of December  there are many  with fraud numbers  identity  theft numbers an updated  credit  report  which I also gave you a police report  number

  Hello I am requesting  all the money that you illegally  garnished  from my  paychecks  so far you gave me ****** dollars of which ****** dollars is still owed to me still it's still being  investigated I want It all back it's also  being reviewed  by the **** of ************* fraud department  which I gave you the phone number and multiple  resources  in the month of December 2022 I would  like this matter closed  due to I don't owe you anything  and I gave you all the necessary  documentation  needed do not garnish my wages on the 11th  since it's still being looked  through

  I am accepting  this that are releasing  my money back to me which I am very appreciative  for it which means no more garnishing  my paychecks . I am rejecting  this it should ot take an additional  60 to 120 days to complete  an investigation  that has been going  on for a matter of over 2 years since 2021 of June  the resoution or the outcome should a matter of 60 days since you are not on my credit file

  On 01/08/2024 you said you would release the funds but I live in **********  which you state everytime  you only gave ****** dollars now which you owe me  ****** of which you said you you stop for an ongoing  Investigation  your still illegally  doing  this which is unfair  to me I don't live in **********  I live in ** you are not supposed  to be garnishing  my wages in the ***********************  NOW PLEASE STOP PUT AN END TO THE INVESTIGATON NO NEED TO KEEP GOING ON WITH THIS  I MADE  MYSELF CLEAR

  On Tuesday  I have an appointment  with ********************* regarding  fraud  with regards to he bank of America fraud  department  which they found my social security  number  but il the representative  said I don't  have a credit  card with your firm  and furthermore  I don't  have a **********  driver's  license  which is what your going  by I have a **************  driver's  license  and I never went to a branch  and  opened  this with you since this cannot be authenticated  via phone  number  or driver's license

  Hello this in response  to a disputing my prior address  for you using a bank account closed  a long time ago and furthermore I had a  golden one bank account  not that is one that is one file and  believe  you can't use is proof  I was making payments  which I stated I don't have a credit card with you and never did ********** said if there was a credit card opened  it was fraudulently  opened via hack without my knowledge  or consent  the email that you have is not what I use or have.

  This debt buying company Scott & Associates in ********, ** purchased a debt of Mine and sent me summons for court. I paid them $2610 on September 6, 2023 to settle. They deducted the payment from my account and have still refused to drop their lawsuit. I called September 28th, 2023 to double check and follow up I complained to them about how their accounting department drop the ball and they decided to do something about it until October 3, 2023 absolutely uncalled for. This is ridiculous. No consumer should ever have to go through something like this they have still refused to drop this bogus lawsuit. How is this even legal to harass people and take their hard earned money?

  I have been contacted by Portfolio Associates and their fake lawyers Scott & Associates. I did not sign a contract with Portfolio Associates. I signed a contract with Rooms to Go. So Portfolios Associates signed a contract with Rooms to Go not me. So I dont owe you a dime. BUT lets take this to trial because Id like to see you explain to a jury of my peers how us struggling citizens owe a random company money that I did not go in agreement with nor sign a contract with Portfolio associates. So I owe you **** I wish you luck with that. See you at trial. : )

  I am rejecting this response because my financial institution has confirmed that there have not been any attempts made to collect these funds. I have and have always had the money to cover the balance owed. *** made several payments out of this account without any issues. I made a second payment on 8/28 and submitted a request on the companys website for a call once again. I am simply trying to ensure that my payments are taken so that I dont have to face legal action for a DEBT I AM ATTEMPTING TO PAY!!!! The companies failure of their processing system is not on my end.

  I am rejecting this response because this company is lying in an attempt to collect additional fees. My financial information is valid and has not changed. The funds are available and have been available since both transactions were entered. My financial institution is also willing to provide proof of the inaccuracies being presented by this company. I have only been contacted once and have been told that online payments were acceptable. This company is using a processing system that does not work as I havent received any notification that any attempts have been made and the funds are available to be taken. I am requesting that the BBB works with customers to prevent this company from doing this to other consumers. If I did not have the funds or wasnt making an attempt to pay, I would not have initiated this conversation with the BBB for support. I am being taken advantage of by this company and I am simply TRYING TO PAY but this company is lying about my payment being declined when NO ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE!!!! This should be illegal!!!

  I was served by Scott and Assoc for a years old debt. My lawyer replied to the court. This debt is so old that is past the point of being able to collect in *****. I have contacted Scott and Assoc to inform them of this, and the response from my lawyer is on file with the court. They are now serving me again, and trying to *** me a second time for the same debt.

  On 7/7/23 this company took $719.10 without any notice. Its not on my credit report, and I do not recognize the name of the business. When I try to put up a profile using my information and the information on my bank statement it says invalid. Also, the number provided is a different company than whats listed on my statement. Ill be pursuing my legal options on this matter, but I wanted to start here.

  I know when a debt is purchased from another debt collector the name of the game is to collect the full amount by any means to get the money back that they paid for that debt but of course there is a thing called settlement options or so I thought.I have 2 collections with Scott & Associates that have gone to judgment status one went through full judgment and was garnished from my paycheck and as of June 16th that one will be finalized. But there is a second one that has a balance of $2,400 and there is a judgment on this one as well and Im attempting to jump in front of it before that one hits the garnishment phase. But when I call theyre telling me that because it is in judgment status that the rules for Scott & Associates is to not go for a settlement under 80% of whats owed. I have attempted to dispute this account through every alley but of course as a consumer my voice isnt being heard. The account was from 2**5 and I have no recollection of this card and I am trying to settle this but they are not willing to allow me any wiggle room. Ive gotten the advice of an attorney that said it can be settled for less than 80%, but when I call and talk to supervisors at Scott & Associates theyre saying no. I have someone right now thats willing and ready to help me pay this off Im just looking for some truth and help. I am a hard worker that trys to get by the best way I can and know how to. ******* told me I was served papers on 9.11.2022 by a ******, that was a lie because I had surgery on 9.7.2022 I didnt answer my door for anyone an I am never at home because I work crazy hours and Im always busy. Life took a toll on me during Covid because I had to change positions and took a serious pay decrease but Im looking for help.   I was contacted by a representative offering a settlement via phone and mail. I was not in a financial position to make the payment at the time. I informed him that once I had the agreed upon amount($1802.07) I would give him a call and make the payment. I was then informed that I would receive a letter stating the amount agreed upon and to sign and return. I never received that letter. I later received another offer for $1796.07, I called into the office and told them I was still not working and that I will make the payment as soon as I can. I was never told that the offer was only for a certain time window. I called to make the agreed payment and was told I had to pay $3000, then it was $2200.00 + I then go over the previous conversation I had with the representative and requested to speak with a manager and was denied being able to speak to one. I was told they wouldnt be able to get to me on today and Ill receive a call at a later time, which was my second time being told that within the last two weeks.

  Hello I heard from this company years ago they had filed a lawsuit on me and I did respond by filing an answer well this is way past the Statue of Limitation here in ***** this is no longer on my credit report and this was due to fraud ! I am not surprised to get stuff in the mail from them about this ! Im not worried about it I dont work and I dont own anything ! I could file a lawsuit on them for breaking the rules! If the Judge seen what paperwork they sent me in the mail he would not understand it either! Tell them do not contact me anymore all further correspondence goes in the trash can Thank You ***********************
