This business is a scam and the owner is a ***** and con man . The owner/ business was sent to my home in APRIL 2024 by my *********************** provider for repair of my washing machine. He looked at the washer and said it needed a new seal , he called around for the part , found it, and stated that the parts and labor would be $200. 00. I said ok and he charged my debit card and was going to go get the part?? He also told me that his business is General Contracting and he does household repairs and fixes. I had just moved into my home and had a page listed of fixes and honeydo's. He looked at the list and quoted me $574.00 parts and labor for the items on the list, I thought that was reasonable and he charged my debit card and I let him proceed with what appeared to me to be doing some of the work on the list. Shortly he comes to me and states he needs to go get the washer part and the parts for the list. That was the last I have seen of him . When I looked in the bathroom he was in, he had taken ALL the plugs out of the walls and had exposed **** ***** everywhere in the bathroom telling me I would not be able to use my bathroom and not touch the wires because they are live, he had gone outside to my breaker box and took it apart, some of it laying on the ground and left ALL the wires exposed. I have called him over 50 times or more , texted him numerous time to see when he is going to come finish the work or give me my money back and he does not respond. He's a *****, a thief, and takes advantage of elders/ seniors. Normally, this would not have happened but I didnt think anything about it because my ***********************- SELECT HOME WARRANTY had sent him to my home and I would have expected that they would be vetting these businesses assuring they were reputable and safe, but, that is another issue I'm dealing with.Business response

I have a contract with Moore construction to replace the siding on the house which they had completed and the job was completed to my satisfaction. The crew told me my excess material would be picked up that later that afternoon or on Monday . It was left in my yard. I've ended up moving it myself to the driveway, as not to let the grass die. It is now 4 weeks later and the excess material is still in my drive way. My Contract states #2 *********** has the right to order excess materials. These materials will not be charged and are owned by the Moore Construction Co.Business response

I have went through our CRM system and have zero messages of you calling and letting us now that we had material that needed to be picked up. We were completely unaware of this issue and I have just spoke to the production manager about calling you to get this resolved. We have done a few jobs for you over the last couple years and would hate to lose a customer over something like this. If you ever have any issues like this again please call the office and ask for me or the production manager.

I hired Moore construction to replace sofits and fascia, painting all around the house, as well as siding along the west side of my house. When replacing my gutters they put the gutter grate under my shingles in such a way that it was raising my shingles off of my roof. I sent an email to the company to express my concern, 9/2/22 they showed up while I was at work without my consent and nailed my shingles and grate to the top of my roof , (to be clear they nailed through the top of my shingle) I contacted Van S***** again, he said he couldn't comment on how it was done as he hadn't seen it, he said he would make a call , I ask when I would hear back, he stated he did not know. **On 9/7/22 I had an experienced roofing company come out, he wrote a synopsis of the work being incorrect and causing damage. On 9/10/22 Van S. from Moore and another man showed up at my home (again unannounced, 3rd time they had come on my property without my prior knowledge or consent) also I have them on my ring doorbell talking about how nails don't go through the top of shingles. They were asked what they were doing as they didn't even announce themselves, when asked to wait a moment for the homeowner (me) to come outside Van got angry, told my friend he doesn't know why he has to wait, that if he left ,he wouldn't come back and to **** off. My friend had to show him the edge of the property for my safety as the project manager Andrew B****** was VERY aggressive with me over the ph and the behavior Van was exhibiting was not professional or safe for a single woman to deal with. I do want people to know this company is not female friendly. In the process of dealing with them, I have been screamed at, outright laughed at, and literally had my property damaged. Not to mention the paint spilled and left in the driveway and decor that was taken down and thrown in the yard. The owner has never returned any call or email that I have sent. Pic attached. Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/21) */ Andrew B****** received a VERY angry call from ****** ****** explaining that her gutter guards were installed incorrectly and should not have been placed under the shingles. I assured her that it was installed correctly, letting her know some gutter guards are thicker than others and that this by default that will slightly raise the shingles but in no way would this cause any problems in the future. I must also note that when installing gutter guards, we must lift the shingles in order to slide it into place and that most gutter guards are installed this way, as this is common practice. She then got very upset and continued to repeat the words "do you think I'm a foo" before she hung up on me. Although everything was done correctly to begin with, she contacted Van the Project Manager and insisted he send out the crew to her house. When the crew showed up, they had spoken to her via her ring doorbell and did everything in their power to please her. After that Van had received another call from ******, so then he scheduled to go back out there with the crew on Saturday. Upon arrival ****** had her "Friend" there waiting for Van, he approached Van very aggressively and was at this point trying to intimidate Van and for safety reasons Van and the crew left. The accusations that we are not a safe company for women is just preposterous, we have been nothing but respectful to you during this process and if anyone has been aggressive it's been you and your friend towards us. We have been out to the property twice now and inspected the gutter guards, they are installed correctly and I've attached the manufacturer's installation guide to prove it. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/10/05) */ Everything in this company's response is false, I literally sent you documentation from a roofing company that is telling you that the work was done incorrectly, I had to pay $1400 to fix things on my roof that were not broken before moore construction came on the scene, they have threatened me, they have come to my home unannounced multiple times , the Better Business Bureau is nothing but a club that does nothing but back the business, you actually have these people rated as an a+ . They damaged my home willingly. My ring camera will show another story and it is not of me being aggressive with Van in any way, this company is not female friendly they have used intimidation tactics against me from the beginning. First of all we have never threated you and have been professional on the phone and in person even though you have been rude and unprofessional with us. Second we never did any work on your roof nor did we go on the roof to install the gutter screens, they are installed from a ladder. Third we never use intimidation tactics to sell our products, you requested this product and was a happy customer for months until later someone told you we installed the screens incorrectly. It sounds like to me the roofing company scammed you out of $1400 claiming that we didn't install our own product correctly.
