I met the owner Emmanuel ******* in December 2021. He told me that he could rebuild the motor in my 2015 Acadia for $2000. He said it would take 3 weeks, and he would give me a 1 year warranty. I'm legally blind so I don't work, but I get disability, so I felt $2000 was a great deal compared to what I was quoted by other shops. He requested $500 up front and the rest when he was done. He told me his shop was at 3102 E. Illinois Ave. 75216, but when he picked up my vehiclehe stated that he moved, so he took it to 1525 S. Hwy 67, 75104. He had my order the parts needed sand picked them up from my house when they arrived. I've he picked up the parts he stated there was more damage and it would be an extra $250. I told him ok which means I owed him $1250. Once I picked up the vehicle I gave him the balance and my wife drove the vehicle home which is 14 miles away. We couldn't make it home because the vehicle started to make noises and wouldn't drive. When I finally made it home I contacted him and he said he would check it out. He would say that he's busy or out of town until the point he stopped answering my calls. I called from another phone and he answered. After a short conversation he told me it's not his problem to take it somewhere else. From the day I picked it up I haven't been able to drive it. I had it towed to a recommended shop and paid for a diagnostic. The mechanic stated that the vehicle was a hazard. The engine bolts were more than an inch sticking out so wasn't bolted to the car or transmission, oil was leak leaking all over the motor, the wiring harness was damaged, and a list of other problems. I reached out to Emmanuel and told him all the problem and he stated that he doesn't work there anymore he was fired, which is a lie because it's his shop. He doesn't want to fix the vehicle, and said he would email the receipt, but wouldn't give me one. I'm out of $2257 and my vehicle is in the same condition it was in before he supposedly fixed it.
