On 1/8/24 around 5:04pm I received a call from *************************** (community manager) at Palladium Crowley the call was to advise me of maintenance doing a repair inside my apartment which I put in on 12/27/23 for several different repairs.. *************************** proceeded to tell me that the reason that my sink was leaking was because I poured grease down the sink I then proceeded to ask her what was the purpose of her call she said to inform me that we cant do maintenance request when an adult isnt present but the job was finished while my 14 year old daughter was home alone .. maintenance should have never entered my apartment to fix anything knowing my daughter was under age and no parent was home.. maintenance then proceeded to finish what he had started then asked my daughter her age.. he cursed at my daughter then told her we cant be here without a parent being home but had already completed the request (there were two maintenance men present ) ****** then said we cant have maintenance go into the apartment without u being home I asked her then why would they enter the apartment if there wasnt a parent/guardian home she got upset and said from here on out maintenance wont do any work orders in ur unit and Ill let cooperate know.. when I got to my apartments I went into the office to speak with *************************** she came out of the office and said to me First of all in a rude tone I proceeded to ask if the guy that was in there was maintenance he began to yell and told me to leave after I was only asking a question I told him I pay rent here Im not leaving u leave , ****** then told *************************(assistant manager) to call the police the maintenance guy is still telling me to leave and Im steady saying to him I pay rent here Im not leaving .. ****** then slammed my folder on the desk and said we arent renewing ur least and I said thats fine.. ******* (while on the phone with the cops) said u need to leave before the cops get here, I left and came on to my apartment.. maybe around 6:15 I get a knock on my door it was ************************* and two police officers I opened the door and the police officers had their hands on their weapon.. ******* proceeded to hand me a paper and said u have been served and u need to vacate within 60 days I said ok and closed the door.. My complaint is that my daughter was home alone and two maintenance men entered the apartment which is not proper protocol and when I went to get clarification to what had taken place with my daughter being home alone. I was meet with hostility, unprofessionalism, and rudeness from all three associates that work for Palladium Crowley and as my tone matched their tone the cops were called and I was told I couldnt renew my lease as a single parent of a minor I had every right to ask questions about them entering my apartment without a parent/guardian being present and wasnt treated fairly in the process because of their mistake, I would like to have this rectified cause I dont want any evictions on my credit and would like to have this vacate noticed removed

Attached are statements from the maintenance man, ******************* and the assistant manager, **************************

*** called me immediately to explain what happened when he found out the mother was not home, and the girl was underage.   He thought the mom was in the other room until the daughter called, ****************** to ask about the oil in the sink.  ****************** did not ask maintenance to leave, *** said, I wish you had told me how old you were and that your mom was not home and left immediately.

I called ****************** to inform her of the situation and apologized.  She later came into the office irate and yelling to the point that we had to call the police.  She was given a nonrenewal and said OK, that's fine at the time the nonrenewal was served.

She later contacted my regional manager, emailing her the same complaint.  The regional manager, ***************************** explained to her that an eviction would not be on her record if she vacated as requested but unfortunately the nonrenewal stands.

According to the *** lease agreement, either party can give a 60 day notice to vacate without cause.

I am rejecting this response because:

    STATEMENT OF DISAGREEMENT
I, *************************, vehemently disagrees with the statements submitted by the Assistant Manager ************************* and the maintenance personnel,***.
On my way home on 01/08/2024, I received a call from the leasing office. I asked ****** what the purpose of her call was. I kept asking her the purpose of her call, but she never answered my question. We went back and forth, and I disconnected the call. I went to the leasing office and again asked her the purpose of calling me-I was informed maintenance had completed a work order I submitted on 12/27/2023.
I informed ****** that I did not appreciate the fact that maintenance (2 technicians) had been sent to my apartment to complete a work order when there was a minor in the residence. I expressed to ****** and the maintenance crew that immediately when they realized that a minor was present, they should have left and come back at a later time or day when an adult was present.
I was accused of yelling or raising my voice and the assistant property manager called the police to ****** me out of the office. I had left the office before the police showed and they stopped by my residence to deliver a non-renewal notice.
In the statement submitted by the lead maintenance crew,Max  stating I had found an oily substance under the bathroom sink, which I strongly disagree, that should not have warranted a call from ****** and not telling me the purpose of her call. I would have expected a statement/comment on my completed work order by the maintenance crew or a notice from the leasing office advising that oily substances and so forth ought not to be poured down the drain.
My purpose of going to the office was to talk to management about the fact that they had allowed their maintenance crew to enter my apartment to complete a work order when there was a minor present. Not only that; they (maintenance crew) left debris after they had completed the work order and used my paper towel instead of bringing their own supplies or materials for the job.
Under no circumstances should the maintenance crew entered my apartment without an adult present. And to read the statement submitted by management stating, I called ****************** to inform her of the situation and apologize was not how things went down on 01/08/2024. If she had informed me about the purpose of the call and apologized about the incident, I wouldnt have gone to the office to inquire about why she called me in the first place.
It is my hope that the other family members are not going to experience what my minor child had to deal with on 01/08/2024 when maintenance went into my unit to complete a work order. I am a victim of the callousness of Palladium Crowley.

    Regards,

According to the original complaint, ****************** was asking that an eviction not show up on her record and the non - renewal be removed.  An eviction will not be on her record if she vacates at the end of the 60-day nonrenewal period.  If ****************** does not vacate; an eviction will be filed as a holdover with the ** Court.

As stated previously, according to the *** lease either party may give a 60-day notice of nonrenewal and in this case, management as elected to exercise our rights under the lease agreement.

I am rejecting this response because: In regards to my last statement I am aware of the eviction not being placed on my credit that is not what my intentions are. I want Palladium management to offer a sincere apology as well as maintenance to my underage daughter for the miscommunication on their part, at some point management and maintenance have to be aware of the situation and to know that they are at fault. I understand the eviction will not be placed on my record as long as I leave within the 60 days, I don't want the renewal removed. I want everything to be fair and that they be held accountable for what occured

    Regards,
