Today, Thurs April 28, about 1200 at Arby's *********** (*********). I parked at the restaurant because of a sign prominently displayed on the front window (facing the street) and next to the front door. The sign read "Dining room open" or words to that effect. The front door was locked as was the side door. So I removed the false advertising from the window with no trouble. I did not damage the vinyl sign in any way. I carefully rolled it up and waited for a gap in the line of three cars waiting to be served. I even spoke to the driver of number 2 car to tell him I would just be a sec. When driver 1 pulled away, I approached the server at the window (an angry young black man named Boone ***********) and handed him the rolled up poster. I told him something about the sign being a problem for me. I truly expected a "Thank You" from the server for doing something he should have done at the beginning of his shift. Instead he threatened to call the police saying I had no right to remove a sign. I told him there are laws regarding truth-in-advertising and walked to my parked car. Suddenly he unlocked the front door and began to rant that he was calling the police. He photographed my car making sure to get the license plate. I could hear him clearly telling the police that I had ripped the sign. He ranted at length. Meanwhile the other customers in line were not getting any service.

So I waited for the officers to arrive. In a short time, 2 officers appeared and asked me what happened. I told them everything in the above paragraph word for word. They seemed sympathetic and more so when I told them I am an Army veteran. Nevertheless they gave me a warning ticket for criminal trespass which I signed. I told the Pflugerville police I don't like being disrespected and threatened for performing a service for others who were looking to dine in as I was. The police said I should contact Arby's headquarters and lodge a complaint. The is also the BBB and others.

I went to our local Arby's for lunch. First of all the employee at the Drive Up window on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 sounded like she didn't even want to work. Not very personable at all. When I picked up my order at the window no hello, no smile, when she gave me my order I didn't get what I ordered. Very discouraging!! No wonder I don't go there very often. I ordered crinkle fries, instead I got curly fries with my order and so I told her about it and she went back and gave me a small amount of crinkle fries when it should have been a medium. Then I get to my destination to eat my lunch with my husband and I find out that there was no double beef cheddar sandwich, but 2 classic beef sandwiches. I didn't order 2 classic beef sandwiches I only ordered one. The curly fries were burnt and not very tasteful. I love going to businesses where I get treated right, I have worked for the Public many years and I know you can get more people to come with just a smile and come back!
