Do not use this company! I hired them to create plans for a house I was going to build. After months of back and forth, the plans were not coming together. I gave up on them and started building the house from my hand drawn plans. Several months into the build I got an invoice from them. I told the owner that I was not satisfied with their service and could not justify paying that amount. Knowing they did a poor job he agreed to take some money off the bill. It was still too high considering the incomplete and inaccurate plans they produced. I'd had enough and just stopped communicating with them. Then they had the audacity to sue me and take me to court. Horrible experience with a terrible company. If I could give zero stars I would but unfortunately it makes you give at least one.

Hey *********************, I hope things are going well.Yes, you are expected to pay bills for contracted work that is done. We've been designing custom house plans for about 20 years and do about 200 plans per year, so we are well aware of red flags from customers trying to avoid paying their bill. We started **************** in 2020, and we were ghosted several times after sending you updated revisions. Then, after finally talking to you, we realized you were just attempting to avoid paying your bill. You "approved" your design on July 8th, 2020. Then on July 24th, 2020, we delivered all the final construction documents to you with a "NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION" watermark on your blueprints. We use this watermark to hopefully prevent people from using their completed plans without paying. Of course, you used the plans anyways, fully built your house, moved in, and never got back with us to pay your final bill.And yes, we had the "audacity" to file a lawsuit in small claims court because you never paid your bill for the plans. I have employees to pay for the work they've done and we expect to get paid for contracted work. I even gave you a discount hoping you would pay because we knew you were having trouble coming up with the money to pay your bill. You lied to us, telling us you didn't receive the invoice, although we proved in court that you had opened the invoice 35 times with our online invoice tracking software. Then you argued that you didn't need to pay us because you didn't use the blueprints...but we completed them, you approved them, and you just never paid us. It doesn't work that way...you can't just decide after the work is done you don't want to pay. We won in court unanimously by jury trial and you had a judgment to pay for the invoice amount. You still refused to pay the judgement for the plans (even after losing in court) and we had to once again file for a writ of execution to try and collect the payment. As of posting this, you have still not paid for your plans and the work we've done.Perhaps if we had done some research, we would have easily found your history in business of not paying people you work with along with your criminal history. Unfortunately, we don't check this and assume people are decent.I have no idea how many other companies you ripped off while building your home, but my hope is that you learn from all this and in the future you are honest and pay your bills to people you work with. I stand by my great team of designers and the awesome work they do day-in, day-out.
