The auto shop owner insisted that my car issue was battery related. I found out from *** that it was not after the fact. He then proceeded to break my car key and attempted to glue it together to fix it. I had to then pay over $300 to a dealership for a key replacement.

On 2/12/24, I took my 2003 VW Jetta to University ********* to replace the water pump & an oil change. I paid $725. When I drove it, I heard a clanking & saw the ring that holds the dipstick in place was gone & pieces of the yellow dipstick container. On 2/14/24, I went back. The owner looked at the ground & picked up a ring & placed it in my car. He said he&#**;d order the dipstick & ring from the dealership for free. On 2/21/24, my car overheated. I drove it to University & the mechanic said I needed a new set of hoses & it would take days & I needed to leave the car. He showed me what he had found online for $28 & my daughter took a photo. On 2/26/24, my daughter went back to University & immediately noticed my car was damaged on the * side. It was missing a hubcap & the bottom plastic fender was loose. They said, Nothing happened. She showed them photos from 2/21. The owner then pulled out the hubcap, completely destroyed. The owner said they would fix the damage & that they would replace the hubcap. My daughter told them to not touch the car anymore. On 2/27/24, my daughter went back and they told her the cost for the new hose was $98. She asked for a receipt & he refused. She got a tow truck, which our insurance paid for. We then noticed that the wheel arch of the front right tire was broken, exposing all the parts. I am including photos from the * & * front tire for comparison. The new mechanic could not do an oil change because the s**** that holds the pan is stripped. On, 3/8/24 my daughter went back to University & asked for the dipstick & the owner did not get an original one. I want them to compensate us for our time. She spent approximately 6 hours of her work days dealing with University *********. I want them to pay for new oil change; replacing the hubcap, wheel arch, original VW part dipstick and ring, and s**** for the oil pan; & fixing the fender. I want to see receipt for the hose & get reimbursed for difference. I have photos.

I apologize for the delay.  I would like to reopen my complaint and clarify that for this complaint, I would like a reimbursement of the money I paid to the mechanic.
