Same issues others have reported - they installed the panels but refuse to finalize the installation. I have been reaching out to them continuously with excuse after excuse - they only ever say they will send someone and never do. I signed the agreement in February, it's November and they still haven't finished installation.Initial Complaint

Good morning, I hope you all are doing well. We have no history of this customer calling our office requesting help on reconnecting his system. He might be calling the sales rep or another sales company we install for. Our office number and direct line is **************. This complaint has been forwarded to our install manager and the customer should be receiving a call soon to schedule the fix. Thanks.

I began the process of getting my solar panels put in September. By early August they were already installed but were not up to code by the city for weeks. It is now middle of October and the system has yet to be functional. I was guaranteed that I would only have one month carry over of electric bill due and well we are about to head into the third month of having an electric bill.I was guaranteed that I would not have to pay my panel loan until January due to the salesman going to give me a check for the 3 months as part of the deal. He assured me multiple times. My solar panel loan is due on Oct. 26 and not only have I not received the check guaranteed by the salesman but my panels aren't functioning so I have ANOTHER month of an electric bill over $100 plus $200 for the panels. I have made multiple attempts requesting for them to come and fix the issue that's met with little to no response. I was also guaranteed work done in my backyard that has not been completed. These guys just waited until the money cleared and disappeared.Business response

I bought Solor panels on or about February. The company mpower energy llc works for Sunwatt in the rio grande valley. At the time told me that I would not have to pay a light bill at all this would generate enough power told me I would get a **** dollar generator was included in the financing. Upon hooking up to my power company I find out what they said is a big misrepresentation of the facts. The light company will charge you 40 dollors regardless will sell you there power at a rate if you can get into a buyback contract they will reimburse up to 100 present of your bill every month but any excess they will keep if any moth you dont produce enough you bill be charged for you use they told the extra power would go into a saving account for when I used more. Also I have tried to get my generator but their manager will not ************* or respond to my texts and phone calls I will see if I can place a text to prove my point. Text below. In attachment. Thank youCustomer response

Hello,
Our install manager spoke to the customer. His concern is the amount of time we have taken to turn on his system. ******* Electric is taking longer than usual to set the meter, transfer dates etc. We requested inspection/meter set from ******* Electric on February 21st and the meter has not been set. I have attached proof of the meter request. As soon as they set their meter we will be able to turn the system on. Customer is aware.
Thanks,

I signed a contract with SunWatt Solar on Friday evening 7:00 PM 1/13/23. After reviewing the contract thoroughly I decided to cancel and go with a different provider. I began sending notices of my intent through email and mail on Sunday 1/14/23. Im Monday I drove to the business to leave the original copy. The owner had let people leave early for MLK. I did speak to the owner and there was an installer there who called the owner to let him know that he **** would put the cancellation on his desk. I called my salesperson and let him know I would be canceling as well as the loan company. The contract is still not canceled and the owner has sent people to begin work even though I am still within my rights to cancel and have made that abundantly clear. I need proof from them they they have contacted the loan company to cancel. I cannot cancel it myself because of their partner Concert Finance. I have every attempt using **** guidelines for cancellation.Business response

This solar company (Sun watt energy) forced my wife into signing an contract. Saying that this doesnt lock ** in. They then proceeded to let us know we are in a contract now and have to get solar. They also told us we would get a tax credit and money back every year. This was not the case our electric bill was still high and we got no tax rebate. They then said we do not have enough panels and got us to sign another contract to fix the problem . We now have about $190 a month in solar and electric bills. They said they were going to pay us money back for having these higher bills and they never did. We were lied to and forced into a contract. We pay more for electric and solar than we did without it. Not to mention everything in our house is now energy efficient and we are frugal with our energy consumption. The power and solar companies are running a scam and it needs to be stopped. Please help us.
