They came to us through Home Depot which is where we purchased two refrigeration units still under warranty. . They told us our compressor was out and would be covered by the warranty, but the refrigerant would cost $150.00 per pound. $1050.00 total. Repair person stated that is the normal rate.Total repair cost $2000.00. I called 4 other companies. Refrigerant cost was $55.00 to $80.00 per pound. Cancelled with Desert Air and had our money refunded. Called a recommended person to check the a/c. He repaired the a/c with a total cost of $180.00. He charged $40.00 per pound for the refrigerant. I notified Home Depot manager who stated he will report information to corporate.Review from Richard A

Please be cautious of using this Heating and Cooling service provider! I had them come out got a FREE consultation from **** *****. I was issued a bill for them coming out. When they called for payment I mentioned to sales representative that my AC was making a loud noise after the technician was within my AC unit. She scheduled an appointment for the technician to come back out to see what may be causing the unit’s loud noise. The comes out to inspect and now claims that he walked up heard a loud hissing noise. Please keep in mind this AC unit was working perfectly fine prior to the technician arriving. Now all of a sudden the AC has a puncture in the line and wants to quote me a new unit. I told him that it’s a coincidence that he was in the unit and now I don’t have any cooling. He said he’s seen this happen “multiple times” and can quote me a new unit. I told him I’m not purchasing a new unit and he takes off… Please don’t get put in my situation of coincidentally needing a new unit. ******** ******* **********
