Owner is rude, lacks compassion for children and has minimal customer service and social skills. She makes up rules and state requirements at her convenience.

Horrible big mistake putting my child there. I wouldnt take my dog there. My baby cried every morning she would look and see where were and cried she wasnt even a year old. Then the owner which was never there called CPS on me like I was neglecting my child (my niece which I was adopting). It was the same time when a child had died in ****** while living with ****** parents. So I guess she felt all kids in CPS were being mistreated especially because Im black. Then when I called her about her allegation she told me that I should told her that my baby was actually my blood relative and that she was born with fetal alcohol syndrome. B I dont have to tell you anything. If its something you want to know you should have asked. She was never even there to see my child so how do you know anything. I maybe saw her 3 times in the evening never in the morning. The day she told those lies on me I had no idea I go to pick my baby up she siting in the front looking like something off the walking dead smiling. I get home CPS was at my house didnt find anything wrong. They had me to take my baby to the ** per protocol and I sat in the ** till 12:00 at night and had to be at work the next morning and they found nothing wrong. I would never abuse anyone especially a child. I moved my baby to another daycare and she was so happy every morning she was smiling and ready to go . Started walking a week after being there. If I had of read the reviews on ****** first I would have never taken my child to Coopers Cottage!!!!!!

I know its been a VERY long time since you attended my daycare so youre probably foggy on the details. First of all, your daughter had already been walking with us for weeks prior to my staff calling cps for neglect/abuse. I have the videos to prove it. We did not tell you because we wanted you as a parent to be able to see that for yourself for the first time. We never let parents know they missed their childs first steps while leaving their child in our care for 12 HOURS a day even when off work. My staff called cps because of multiple concerns and they are mandated reporters. Cps felt there was good cause and thats why they ordered you to take your child to the hospital ASAP!!! Please do not bring race into it, the first teacher (out of 3) that privately called cps is black as well. Race had nothing to do with it. Im a ****** mother myself and know that not all ****** children are being neglected. Im glad to know she is thriving. She deserves it. I wish you the best!

All the kids are in one room. The daycare advertises its operating hours are from 6:30am 6:30pm. Several mornings she (the owner) showed up to open the daycare late with no reason. She will call you to come pick up your child early if the child is the last one there or to pick up your child if she has something to do and needs to close the daycare early. She gave the parents a 2 weeks notice that the daycare would no longer be a store front and will turn into a home daycare. The home daycare was supposed to start on 4/29/24 (please keep in mind that you pay a week in advance. I paid on 4/26/24 for the week of 4/29/24). On 4/27/24 at 7pm at night she informed us that the daycare wouldnt be opening on Monday b/c they couldnt get movers b/c of the storm. On Tuesday she informed parents the daycare wouldnt open until Monday b/c they couldnt get an inspection b/c the daycare wasnt fully set up. She then turned the phones off and LIED and said it was on the charger when I messaged her on the Remind me App, but for days I would call trying to get an update and it would go straight to voicemail. Please keep in mind that I was trying to get clarification on when the daycare was going to open b/c I am a single parent with not help and I needed to try to find help to watch my daughter while I work and I didnt want to find someone to watch my daughter and pay them and still be obligated to pay Coopers Cottage b/c shes still enrolled there and by the policy you are required to pay weekly and give a two weeks notice. You cant just take your child out and if you do then you will have to still pay for two weeks. Weeks passed and I called, and the phone rang but she messaged me on the Remind app stating that she was on a call. I put in a two weeks notice as per the policy and asked for a refund for services not rendered for the week of 4/29/24. She didnt respond to my message. I followed up a week later and let her know that I requested a refund.

Honestly, HONESTLY I think this childcare has no idea what they are doing business wise and it will make you want to leave. ************************* is actually impossible to speak to. Homegirl is NEVER (and I am so serious when I say this) NEVER at the job site. She is the owner but no where to be found. So when you have something to ask her, whether its in regards to payment, days closing, etc. you have to wait about 3-5 business days for a dang response! And by the way, the response is solely through the Remind app, she will not call because she does not want you to have her personal information. She will always say "sorry I am in meetings all day" "sorry I am busy running errands for the daycare" and that's her same excuse every time, when in reality she probably is at home not wanting to respond. Because what meetings do you need to have with the two other teachers that work at this daycare. Are you having a meeting with them while they are watching my child? because that is unprofessional. Or do you have another job? and if you have another job that is fine, but either learn how to balance the two or quit one or the other. She is a very unreliable person and even one of the teachers who quit told me she can't stand working for her because she and the director are bullies. Additionally, The daycare will be closed on the most days that even banks are still open for, so you will have to take off of work because they close on days like juneteenth or veterans day, or columbus day, etc. Also this daycare does not provide food such as lunch or breakfast so be prepared to bring the lunch, just another huge inconvenience. Also, they are not aloud to wear crocs for "safety reasons" (but my kid cant wear his crocs at PreK) and they can not wear cowboy boots for the same reason. The owner ******* just makes up rules out of her **** that you did not sign on, but there's no firing her because she is the owner. The best we can do is step up and file complaints with the state.
