BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints concerning customer service and delivery issues.  Specifically, consumers allege purchasing plants through Planted Roots, LLC's website and social media sites which include Facebook and Instagram.  After an order, consumers allege Planted Roots, LLC accepts their payment for plants and then does not provide shipping information.  Consumers further allege after paying for the plants, they had limited to no communication from the company and did not receive their plants.  BBB submitted a written request in April 2023 to the company encouraging them to address the pattern of complaints.  As of May 2023, BBB has had no response from Planted Roots, LLC.

    I made an online purchase from Planted Roots/Posheens Plants on 11/15/223. I still have not received my products. I have tried to pick up the products in person when they still had not shipped after 2 weeks. The vendor did not have the products with them in shop, even after the pick up date was confirmed. I have exhausted all options and offers to have the product shipped, dropped off, picked up, etc. This business will not promptly respond to my messages and deletes any comments left on their page by me. I see them continue to post sales and potentially do the same thing To others. I have asked for a refund and been told it will be done but has not. The business has time to continue to advertise sales but not submit a refund. I want to alert BBB to the scam activity to prevent others from making the same mistake.

    I made multiple online purchases in Sept-Nov 2022 & I havent received 95% of my order still, almost a year later. I have been in constant contact with them, was promised multiple times I could come get the items I paid for, and every single time, they cancel on me. I see them selling the items I purchased on their page, but they refuse to give me what I paid for. They try to give me freebies to hold me over, but then they try to claim that those items counted towards credit for what I paid almost like it was an agreed upon replacement item, which it never was. Theyre giving me these little cheaper items in place of my large expensive more rare items I purchased. Now theyre ignoring my messages, deleting my comments on social media that are trying to communicate with them to get my items. Finally they just offered a refund, but are refusing to refund in my original form of payment (Apple Pay). Theyre offering store credit (what!!?) or a cash app I dont have that doesnt work with my bank. It has been a year that theyve had my money and refuse to give me my items. I want my items or my money now. This business is an absolute joke. Theyre scammers.

    Planted Roots sells plants and, recently, classes online. They have been selling plants through their ************** Planted_Roots and their Instagram page, and they claim to sell on Etsy. They post plants in ******** purges or Instagram stories. As a consumer you can claim the plant and then send them payment. They claim to offer shipping, delivery, or pick up. While it seems some people who pick up in person (from the home of the owners) do receive their plants, the people that select shipping or delivery never receive their plants or a refund. I am a part of several ******** plant groups and the people getting scammed by Planted Roots is ever growing. Most recently people posted that they saw a post for an in person class offered by Planted Roots, they purchased that class on line and when they arrived for the class at the listed location in person the doors were locked, no one was there, no sign, no information, no class, no refund. In my case, Planted Roots posted plants on their Instagram story on several days, offering Free Shipping. I contacted them via direct message asking how to purchase and told them I would need the plants shipped. I claimed several plants by sending the owners a direct message, they acknowledged the claims via DM and asked for payment via a pay app. I paid immediately on April 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd of 2023. I purchased a total of 13 plants totaling $91.50. They acknowledged payment, asked for my address, notified me they would probably deliver them instead of ship and gave a date. That day came with an excuse and postponement for delivery. Repeat. Eventually they didnt even bother to contact me when they no showed. I would reach out to make arrangements, they would give another excuse and another date for delivery and again not show up. Eventually I asked for a refund and they stopped responding to me. There are at least dozens people in the plant group that Planted Roots has scammed out of hundreds and even thousands of dollars.

    I talked to planted roots on Instagram and asked to purchase a couple plants he was selling and he confirmed. I placed the order and he said it would take a week to ship them. I waited the week and heard nothing from him. I called him and text him and have heard nothing since and have had to file a claim with the bank. After talking to some people that have dealt with him he has scammed 100s of dollars from other people as well. This needs to be dealt with because it obviously keeps happening.

    On 11/29/2022 I paid via Apple Pay for multiple tropical plants from this business. The owner stated he would be able to ship them to me. I followed up multiple times asking for tracking information and kept getting reasons/excuses as to why he hadn't gotten around to shipping me the items I had purchased. He continued to sell and continues to sell on ******** and at one point **** but still said he didn't have time to mail my plants. On 2/23/2023 he provided me with a tracking number but after weeks of checking it hadn't ever made it to the post office. On 4/20/2023 he must have scanned in the label at a self service kiosk at the post office but it has never made it into the postal system. (Tracking: **************************) I have asked multiple times that he either mail my plants I purchased or provide me with a refund. At this point I would just like my $200 back. I have added the text communications we have had since 11/29/2022.

    Purchase a plant on December 25th of 2022. Money was sent via ***** and I was told the plant would be delivered the following week. A few weeks went by and while waiting I purchased another plant via there website, hoping theyd be delivered together. I have been given several excuses on why they havent delivered. I even tried to pick up in person but sadly an emergency came up and I was unable to. I even offered to just have the plants shipped, hoping theyd be delivered sooner. No response and finally after a comment on not getting my plant I was told it would be $25 to have them shipped, or they could refund me. I decided that Id rather just have a refund and have been trying to get ahold of them for the past 2 weeks with no response.

    Purchased plants from one of their plant purges and was told delivery was an option. A payment of $34 was sent to ****** on Dec 7, 2023 via Zelle. Today is April 5 and I still have not received my plants. Initially, when I would inquire about my plants there was always some excuse and that they were "working on it". Now, after several refund requests, I get no response at all.

    I paid $90 for an order of plants November 13th which I have yet to receive; I confirmed with the business they did indeed ship orders out (instead of local pick-up). I have been told the order would be shipped multiple times and have yet to be told it was actually sent or receive a confirmation/tracking number. I feel I have been incredibly patient as there were numerous reasons given that the order couldn't or wouldn't go out (the family had Covid, holiday shipping would delay order, etc) but at this point I'm fed up. I also feel like I've been scammed out of my hard-earned money. I've attempted contact multiple times via FB messenger and either don't get a response back or I might get one days later asking me to check back later in the week to see if my order went out. I have included the receipt from CashApp for the $90 sent and the messages between myself and the business/individual(s).I would prefer a refund but would accept the contents of my order also ( provided they are in good shape). I will not do business with this company again no matter the outcome of this complainant. What prompted me to finally send this complaint is this business is still selling on FB yet I haven't gotten my order. Please help, thank you!*****************************

    Ordered and sent pmt thru Zelle a plant on one of their FB Plant Purges on Dec 13th. They said it had been delivered. The only delivery was for one bought in November. They finally admitted I did and set up 3 different deliveries which never took place. Then they gave me a days notice to drive 2 hours to pick up and I could not. I have repeatedly requested a refund of $40. They are extremely slow to respond to my texts or fb comments. I do not know what to do. Ive been in contact with many others in the same boat. No plant, no refund.
