Totally unreliable - we bought a brand new Rv from Funtown rv in Cleburne and had issues we identified well within the warranty period one of which has never been fixed correctly. We are 2 years out and they are telling us we are outside their warranty despite it being something they did not fix correctly in the first place despite us taking in our unit to then 3 times, once for 6 months and the most recent for 4 months. It has been in the shop longer that we have had it at home at this point. We were originally told that since the issue was not fixed correctly during the warranty period and was ongoing and it was not a newly identified issue that the work request would be honored no matter how long it took to fix. But today they are telling us since the ** is now 2 years old we are out of luck and they are not standing by their original promise for the original fix being flawed.Fun Town RV Response

******* ******, our Service Manager, recently spoke with the customer and clarified that, according to our records, both sides of the recliner were replaced under warranty, despite being out of warranty at the time. Additionally, the manufacturer informed us that they would no longer be honoring warranty claims for the recliner moving forward.
At this point, there is nothing further we can do to assist with repairs unless the customer is willing to cover the costs. We regret that we were unable to meet their expectations, but we must operate with the terms of the manufacturer's warranty.Customer Response

This is an ongoing issue that was supposed to be covered under warranty that was never fixed correctly from the time it was first identified (month 4 of warranty period) to the last time. Same issue - ongoing from the same first claim. Every time we picked it up we told them it was not yet fixed correctly. We understand they are saying no more claims but to us it is a continuation of the same claim and we have been very let down. Hence our negative review of Funtown rv which seems to be a theme in all the negative reviews we read. Caveat emptor!Review from Kenitha E

I would not recommend anyone purchase anything from Funtown RV in ********. I have had nothing but problems with ******* from the time I went to pick up my new camper. On the day of pickup we found the roof ladder was broken and the running lights on the trailer did not work. I wasted a half a day waiting at the dealership for the service department to repair my brand new never used camper which they were unable to do. Within a month the water heater went out.I hired a service man recommended by the dealership to come out and look at the water heater *********** man called ***** the *************** manager and I **** ***** verbally authorize the warranty replacement of the water heater. I had to pay the repairman $1,300 up front for the replacement and I was assured by Funtown they would reimburse me for it in 10 days. I waited a month and called the dealership last week looking for my check. They informed me that the reimbursement was denied because ***** did not get pre- approval for it from the manufacturer. I called Forest River to explain the situation and they agreed to reimburse me for the water heater at their cost as a good will gesture but not for the labor. Basically half of what I paid.I called ***** (after many hours of trying to reach him and multiple calls to him) and he apologized profusely for not getting the pre- approval required and offered to reimburse me the balance for a full refund. He said he would expedite the check request and have a check to me in 5 days. Today is the 5th day with no communication. I was finally able to speak with ***** ***** at the dealership who told me they didn't know if Corporate had approved the reimbursement or if the check had been processed. She would call to find out and get back to me. Still no response from ***** the service manager. I am now out $1,300 plus the interest on my credit card with no resolution in sight all because of incompetence, empty promises, and lack of communication on their part.Fun Town RV Response

Bought our new trailer from Fun Town RV ******** on April 11th 2024. We took one trip and the auto level jacks malfunctioned. Took it to the Fun Town Mega Center for repairs and it has been there ever since. Now over 4 months after our purchase we have no trailer and have received no notification from Fun Town about when and if we might get our trailer back. They are very accommodating before the sale but afterwords not so much or not at all.Review from Ken J

First, the sales experience was not bad. ***** was pleasant and informative about the '23 Crossroads Cameo we purchased. No complaints with financing either. However, that's where pleasant definitely ends. 1 week prior to walkthrough I purchased (from Fun Town) a $2500 Gen * gooseneck hitch for the coach. When I showed up for walkthrough (15 minutes early) that was scheduled for 9am, they weren't ready. Walkthrough started about 1.5 hour late. Walking up to the unit I noticed the new hitch had not been installed and I made a point to put them on notice about that. I also put them on notice about several items that needed fixes or corrections. Most of these items were not corrected and I sent the unit to the repair center for all those items- more on that in a minute. After walkthrough, I went to the camping store to inquire about a mattress I had bought and wondered when it would be installed (because the unit had a very cheap mattress). They wanted me to help install the mattress! During my extended stay in the camping store, I also purchased three cameras and a monitor since the unit is bigger than anything I have towed previously. So, I waited and waited and waited, finally my sales gal came and told me that the hitch that I bought didn't have the correct bolt ****** (remember, I bought this thing 1 week before). Now I had three options- go back to my original fifth wheel hitch, buy a different version of gooseneck hitch or wait 3 hours for the new hitch to be delivered. I waited 3 hrs. Decided that would allow them to get everything ready for hook-up and get on the road before dark thirty. Meanwhile I left the dealership because I was on the clock at work. This was supposed to take a couple of hours? OK, got a call from the sales gal stating that the hitch was on the road. It's about 4:30 pm by now and when I arrived, I suggested that I was not pleased with how things were progressing-read more on facebock. It's bad. **** buy from here.Review from Abby M

We purchased a ************************** May of 2023. In July we started experiencing horrible water leaks from everywhere. Seeping down the walls, coming out of the light switches, sweating under the belly & had no idea what was causing it. This had in turn caused damage to the trim pieces, bowing of wood, rust on hinges, mold under belly, etc. We called FunTown RV to get in for warranty work. My husband drained the ********** left for the service center in ********. They had it for one-two ********** received a call from a service assistant saying we had overflowed both black tanks because our hose was hooked up to the black tank when it arrived, & that warranty would not cover it. (The hose was hooked up from when my husband drained them to take the camper in). Immediately my husband asked to speak to the manager, *************************, in which it took days to get ahold of, & the phone call ended in **** blaming us, rudely. We picked up our camper in between this time. We then emailed ************************* to get proof of such accusation in which it took additional ***** ****** sent pictures of the **************** of toilet paper under the stairs. My husband then crawled under the stairs & came to find the caulking that they were calling toilet paper. He then climbed on the roof to check tank ************* was no water residue at all. We sent this proof to ***************************** (after ***** would no longer speak to us) & got no response. We called *************** After a week with no answer, we called the main office & spoke to ***********************. He said to send all documentation to **** **** would get with the service center. After a week of not hearing back, we called again & nothing. We tried for a month to deal with ******** **** was the absolute worst customer service experience. They do not stand behind their rvs & do not want to work with the customer to solve any problems. We will never take any of our business to ******** nor will we ever recommend them.Review from Kim O

We bought a brand new 2022 43 ft Redwood From ******** in ******, ** as they were the only Fun Town selling Redwoods. It was delivered to ** in *****, ** as we did not have a truck yet. When the driver tried to level the 5th wheel it almost tipped over. He said he couldn't help us, he only delivered. Told to call ******. After 3 hours and many different people we had a tech called and told my husband, this happens alot. It is often we have this problem from the factory. Talked my husband thru rewiring. In the mean time we had set everything else up outside as we couldn't get inside until it leveled. When we got in the place had flooded. Ever pecs connection had not been tightened down. ****** told ** it was a good thing my husband was a contractor so he could tighten them up. Everyday after that something went wrong. We contacted Funtown head quarters in ******** as they were closer. We live in the 5th wheel so we asked about mobile service. We were told we would have to pay for it then be reimbursed. This went on for 3 months waiting for approval. Taking pictures, being run around to many different people. The repair man gave up. Fun town gave us a name of someone they would work with. There were almost 30 problems by then. After 2 more months of being ********************* said it had to be brought to them. We had to buy another 5th wheel to live in. They had our 5th wheel 4 1/2 months. Upon return many things still didn't work. I had been in contact with Forest River, manufacturer, and still run around. Had to have 2 more mobile repairs. Out of pocket. Funtown useless at this point. They have walked away unless we bring it back to them. So much time and frustration. We currently have 10 more issues to deal with. Dealing with the manufacturer which isn't much better. Run from Fun Town. They are great at selling but horrible at service. we planned on paying cash. They talked us into financing part. We found out later they get kick backs for getting them financed.Review from Don B

bought a brand new Ember from ******** location. Been in the shop multiple times for the same issue refrigerator and electrical. Funtown does not have the technicians it needs to properly do repairs. My trailer has been in the shop for seven months as I make payments on it. The only help Im having is through Ember customer service. Save your money, you would be better off buying a dog house at ******* than anything from Fun town. I find that the customer service is friendly on the phone but nonresponsive. I picked it up one time and they forgot to lock down the moonroof which flew out onto a passengers car on the highway. Luckily, it only hit the grill and not went through their windshield and killed somebody. This was their technician failure to secure what he is open and worked on.Beware as a consumer, please read all the reviews. It sounds like we all have the same issues with them pretty much. Also found out when it was in the shop that the slide is not working properly also as some of the reviews have mentioned.Save your money, your mental health, as well as the anxiety you will eventually have to pay for your feelings and not the object that you actually bought.Review from Anuree H
