    The service was unacceptable. We were supposed to have an appointment at night between 5-8pm. We received a call at 8:12pm asking if he could come at 9:40pm. The he asked if he could come the next morning at 9am. My husband and I both work and he spends most of his day on calls. My husband’s calls started at 10am so he agreed to the 9am arrival. The service tech showed up a little after 10am so my husband had to get off of his call. Then the tech told us that it would be $300 to fix the microwave. He said the part alone was $100-$125. My husband said no thank you, paid the $85 service charge and turned around and ordered the part for $21. And even if the part that the company ordered is under warranty, I can replace it 5 times for what they wanted to charge.

    We called them to come out and fix our dishwasher. At first he wanted to charge $400 for a new pump. When I said no he said “ok $300”. No sir I’ll just pay the service charge please. He then tried to charge me $150 instead of the $85 service fee bc he said he replaced a hose. I asked him to show me the old hose or the hose he replaced and he said ok $85. As he was leaving he said if I get a new dishwasher to call him and he’ll take this one. The best part is my dishwasher is now working so I have no clue what he actually did. The whole thing felt like a scam.

    I have had an issue with my dryer not spinning this week. I was present the entire time the dryer was evaluated. At no point was the dryer unplugged and any parts looked at. I only saw buttons on the dryer pushed and turned to listen to it run. The components of the dryer weren't examined. I was quoted an original price of $385 to fix it and then given an additional $20 off if I decided to do so. It didn't appear that this was given diagnostic tests or looked at beyond pushing buttons. I also had the washer looked at since not all items are feeling wet after the wash cycle. He removed one top part of the washer and then started running it and said it was fine. At this point I didn't know what to believe. I held off on dryer repairs since that would be close to the cost of a new dryer. I had to pay the service fee of $134 with nothing getting fixed and the diagnostics seemed like something I could have done by pressing a few buttons to run the machine. I don't understand how you can tell what is going on without opening up the back of the dryer and unplugging the machine. I am ill and disabled and am a renter who has purchased the laundry appliances over the years. I am on a fixed income and unable to work. I can't afford to waste money on a service fee from a company that does not seem to care about the services they are providing and the customers.

    Absolutely terrible customer service and business ethics. I hired them to fix a beeping sound in my back house rental and they charged almost $475 to replace one part. The beeping noise continued and my tenants continued to complain to me everyday, asking for a prorated rental amount back every day the fridge did not work. After multiple attempts to get Ultrafix to come back to inspect it, they finally showed up after 2 weeks and on this particular day the fridge did not beep, so they left. I called to explain what happened and I was met with "its your problem" and "too bad". The fridge continued not to work so I had to buy a new fridge since the problem was not fixed. They would not refund me the money, so I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge and I am still disputing it. This company does not care about its customers. BEWARE. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY in Austin, TX.
