Pattern of Complaint:

On January 16, 2025, identified a pattern in consumer complaints regarding the marketplace behavior of this company, Web Envy. Specifically, BBB has received complaints alleging the following behavior(s) from Web Envy:

 

Fraudulent Invoices: Consumers reported receiving invoices for services they never requested nor received. Invoices claimed charges for domain hosting or other web-related services that consumers did not recognize nor authorize.

 

Unresponsive Customer Service: Complaints highlighted difficulties in reaching Web Envy’s customer service. Consumers mentioned phone calls went unanswered, and emails sent did not receive a customer service response, making it challenging to resolve issues or gain clarification.

 

Scam Allegations: Complaints accuse Web Envy of being a fraud. Consumers expressed concerns that the company was attempting to solicit money through deceptive practices such as fake invoices and misleading information

 

On January 16, 2025, BBB sent correspondence via email and postal mail to several addresses listed for Web Envy requesting the business address this pattern of complaints. Additionally, BBB requested documentation of Web Envy's business registration anywhere in the United States.

 

After receiving no response from its initial correspondence on January 30, 2025, BBB sent a second correspondence via email to Web Envy.

 

As of February 6, 2025, Web Envy has not responded to any BBB correspondence in any medium.

 

BBB closed  this case on February 6, 2025, as Failed to Respond - Failed to Address or Eliminate Pattern of Complaints.

    This business sends scam invoices attempting to charge the recipient for ******************* services that they are not providing.

    Received a faxed invoice for $344.25 from Web Envy DNS on November 26, 2024 for "managed domain services." Due date is December 15, 2024. I have never heard of this company. A quick ****** search indicates they are most likely a scam targeting small businesses.

    10/17/2024 - received a faxed invoice from WebEnvy DNS a business our agency has never used. Performed ****** and BBB searches which resulted in many reports of this company being a scam attempt to solicit money illegally. ********** is claiming as due $344.25 for our domain, which is hosted and registered with another provider, ********.

    Received a fax invoice from Webenvy.io stating we owed them $124.99 for services we never asked for or received. We have never worked with this company and this invoice arrives today asking us to pay by 6/30/2024. The company says it is located at ****************************************** and their email is info@webenvy.io.I called the company several times, as their number is listed on their website and nobody ever answers.
