Here in ************************ as everybody knows we was all victims of hurricane ******, our farms and everything got flooded and devastated.I was hit extremely hard and severe losses. For two weeks we was out of any kind of service when I was finally to get a hotspot for service I called all my creditors which I knew what was going on so they followed payments for 2 to 3 months until I can get back on my feet which I was doing that for everybody.I have been a Kubota customer since 2001, I have a fleet of farm in construction equipment and they've always done me good. When I called them they agreed for 2 months furlough on one of my tractors and start making payments in December.A few weeks ago my wife started getting harassing calls from a collection agency I called and Kubota had put my tractor in collections I called Kubota and they wouldn't even speak to me. They said you'll have to talk to the collection so I called them and they said they was not approved of the furlough due to the disaster even though I sent pictures of the damage. The agreement was start making payments again December 20th. They flat refused to do anything! It is not my fault that 30 inhes rain fell it's destroying everything in its path.I've had to repair my own house fix stuff on the farm. They're the only ones of all the creditors I've dealt with it's active like this. And I'm a pastor as well I've used this machine to help people. I don't know what changes is coming about but I'm guessing they're just starting to be like **** Deere. If they want to earn their business for me in the future as well as the other farms and things around me they're going to have to do me right and do other flight because this is nonsense. They promised a furlough and they lied plain and simple

Our Kubota B2650HSD tractor broke while we were using the front loader to move dirt. We heard a loud pop and then hydraulic oil spilled everywhere. This was actually the second time this occurred on our tractor. We experienced this same exact same malfunction back in March of 2022 and we have only used the front loader this one time since then! Our tractor has only 120 machine hours on it even though we've owned it since 2019. The first time it malfunctioned, Kubota covered the repair under warranty; but they denied the warranty the second time even though we were using it just to move dirt from a pile as it is supposedly designed to be able to handle. We appealed their decision, yet they denied that appeal as well. There is no neutral party here- the warranty is covered by Kubota themselves so it's not like you can take your appeal to an outside company or business. Plus Kubota only communicates through the dealership &/or service representative; you cannot appeal your case with Kubota directly. There is so much wrong with this set-up. In our opinion, this was caused by a faulty part; or it was not repaired correctly the first time. Either way, we had to pay $2882.42 to our dealer, which we do not believe should be our responsibility at all. We use this tractor very minimally and both times we have attempted to use the front loader, it has broken. Something is very wrong here and Kubota needs to be accountable for the malfunction. Additionally, we had to ask for any documentation showing the denial and what pictures were sent; and NONE of it points to it being the customer's fault. ZERO. We feel we were scammed by Kubota since they didn't want to pay for the second repair and they left us no choice but to pay, thus is why we are taking further action afterwards. This part should have been completely covered by the Powertrain Warranty. Enclosed is the claim/denial, warranty coverage and picture of component that was sent to Kubota as well as emails with our dealer.

    Ms. *******,

I see you previously attached a PDF copy of the Kubota Limited Warranty Guide.  There's a lot of information in there but it boils down to this:  The Kubota Limited Warranty is intended to cover defects in materials or manufacturing.

In the warranty claim they submitted, your dealership has not shown there to be a warrantable failure.  A broken part is not necessarily a defective part.  From what we can tell in the pictures submitted through the claim, the failure was caused by an incorrect adjustment of the 3 pt feedback rod.  This would have caused excessive pressure in the hydraulic cylinder, which eventually fractured.  If your dealership believes there is some manufacturing defect, they are welcome to submit another claim for review.

    Best regards,

I am rejecting this response because: nowhere in any of the photographic documentation that Kubota received from the dealer even shows a picture of the three-point hitch system.  Therefore this would then mean there is no proof that it had any connection to the three-point hitch system being the cause of the issue.

Also, as I stated before, this is the SECOND time during our ownership of the tractor that the same part has broken during use. As such, it would indicate a design flaw to be at fault for the malfunction, and NOT likely that it is caused by incorrect usage.

In July my tractor failed, first time I used the pto and the cover cracked. Took it to the dealership and was told it was covered under my insurance, not the warranty as it should and it needed. It was supposed to be done a month ago but since them each week has a mysterious new part will have broke and it needs another week. A solenoid twice, a fuel gasket, and now the front differential is leaking. Nothing is getting put back right. I was waiting to trade it in on a bigger tractor but now I think I am switching brands. I need a tractor, I am 3 months behind on my work. being a disabled veteran, I can't do much without it.

I spoke to **** at ********************************* yesterday, 10/17/2024.  He is their service manager and he was familiar with your situation.  He was unaware of any lingering issues from the repair.  He indicated that you picked up the machine towards the end of September and they have not heard from you since then.

If that's the case, our suggestion is that you call the dealership and speak to **** about the problems you're experiencing.  Based on what you're saying, he will most likely want to evaluate the machine to see what might be happening with it before he'll be able to say what might need to happen next.

    Complaint: 22325732

I am rejecting this response because: tractor was already kept for months to be fixed and is still weak. I am not taking it back to a dealer that put an $8000 bandaid on it by replacing seals and covers. Also charging a 250 tax and taxing that tax. Tractor is now weaker and shuts off completely when traveling in reverse.

I purchased a 2 year old Kubota BX23SLSB tractor from ***************************** of ************************************************************* ***** was the original purchaser from ******************* Equipment around 5/01/2019. I purchased this piece of equipment from ***** on 08/13/21 with a cashiers check from my bank. I have a signed invoice from ***** that was emailed to me on 08/14/21. When discussing the purchase, ***** had told me that it still had warranty left on the machine from Kubota. At the time of purchase it had roughly 120 hours of use on it by ***** and was approximately 2 years old at that point. This left roughly 4 years or 1880 hours of warranty on the power train of the machine. Factory warranty to this date on a new machine power train is 6 years or 2000 hours whichever comes first. I used the tractor around my house for several years and put roughly 220 additional hours on the machine. My wife and I took the machine from our Maryland residence to a property we had just purchased in ************** to do some work with it. While in ************** the transmission housing developed a big hole in the transmission case leading to all the oil draining out the bottom. The machine was taken to ******** Kubota in **********, ** for inspection and repairs. When I got a got a call from them they told me it would cost me approximately $9500.00 to repair. They said that part of the transmissions gearing had broken and went to the bottom where a large gear pushed the broken pieces through the housing causing the hole. I at that time mentioned the 6 year power train warranty. I was told that their district manager would be down the following week to look at it. After that I was told that it appeared to be abuse which caused the damage and that my claim for warranty was denied. I asked for documentation from Kubota telling me why my claim was denied. I never received this from Kubota and *** asked numerous times. Long story short I paid my local Kubota shop $9500.00 to repair a warranty.

I am rejecting this response because: I paid for the repair because my machine which I need was out of service for months trying to resolve the warranty issue with Kubota. I am requesting a refund of those payments. I have also called and spoke to Kubota customer service and asked for an explanation in writing as to why the warranty claim was rejected in the first place. First request was with ****** in Kubota customer service, second request was with ******* KuBota in *************. Third request was with ****** equipment in ******************* which is where the repair work was actually done. My tractor is still under the Kubota power train warranty.

    *************************************

Unfortunately, Kubota will be unable to reimburse you for the cost of repairs to your BX23S. Kubota warranty does not cover the cost of down time, transportation, or money spent to rent equipment. Although you are still under your powertrain warranty time frame. The repair to your machine is not warrantable meaning the failure wasn't diagnosed as a manufacturing defect for the cause of failure. Per our warranty guide Kubota warranty doesn't cover the cost of failure that are not manufacturing defect or defect in material. Normal wear and tear/user error, or failure that occurs due to operator error or lack maintenance isn't covered under warranty. If you have any question please don't hesitate to contact Kubota Customer Satisfaction ************.

    Complaint: 22204472

I am rejecting this response because: The diagnosis that Kubota (*******************) made in ************************* was made without any internal inspection. I was told the differential lock was over used. Once the equipment was taken apart at ****** in ********** Delaware for inspection I saw the broken gear which is not the parts ******** Kubota told me was overused.
This is a common problem with these tractors that Kubota is clearly trying to avoid paying for repairs by saying in was misused . A gear shattered inside the transmission from normal use, went under the ring gear and pushed through the housing. Not the parts you are saying caused this. This gear was clearly defective or not made to withstand normal activities of the tractor. Please refund my money for repairs.
I have the parts that were taken from my tractor as proof of what actually broke inside. See photos of shattered gear and photo of differential lock with hardly any wear. Again please refund my $9,500.00 I was forced to pay for a repair from a defective gear.

They received their merchandise back and did whatever they wanted with said item. It was repossessed and I handed it back to them without a fuss or any hassle. So how is it anything that they have it listed as charge off or whatever.  They refused to work with me at all to avoid the whole situation so I gave it back and now they still are not happy with everything. It was a repo and that is how it should be listed on any credit report.

I own a KX040 and SVL75-2 which was purchased when we traded in our last SVL75. With the new SVL75-2 I purchased the **** policy as well as the 2 year extended warranty. We were told we could purchase another 1 or 2 year policy after this. On 5/21 I received an email that the extended warranty was expiring and it was time to renew it. I saw the email a few days later, and ultimately reached out to my dealer on 6/3. He advised he'd get it taken care of and would look up the dates and all. I was told based on the serial number it had expired on 6/1 and they would attempt to put the purchase through. On 6/10 I was advised Kubota denied the purchase because it had expired. I expressed my displeasure and asked for a number to corporate which they provided. On 6/10 I spoke with ****** who was extremely polite but advised as it had expired there was nothing he could do to help me. The machine is in perfect condition, has always been dealer maintained by the same dealer and has less than 500 hours. Surely there is something Kubota can do to allow the purchase of the additional extended warranty. I like knowing the machine is covered by the warranty. In today's day and age with people not calling back and the turn around time being what it is they send a notification 10 days prior to the expiratiom and then count the days from the 1st to the 3rd. This is our 3rd Kubota and we're about to trade in the KX040 for another. The machines are great, our dealer is awesome in every way. Kubota has always been able to handle any and all problems even when they made an error on our financing. I truly hope they can help us resolve this. I'm actually feeling bad that I had to file a BBB complaint in the hopes of getting the attention of a consumer advocate from Kubota.

    Business response

    07/01/2024

Kubota's policy is that an extended warranty can only be purchased once: during the initial purchase of the equipment, or at any time prior to the expiration of the Basic Warranty. The customer cannot add an extended warranty term after the Basic Warranty has expired. Since you purchased an extended warranty term when you purchased the equipment, this equipment is no longer eligible for additional extended warranty terms.

    Complaint: 21829568

I am rejecting this response because:

I was told explicitly by the kubota dealer when I purchased the machine that I would be able to purchase the 2 year extended warranty at the time of purchase and then extend for an additional 1 or 2 years. We were not certain if we would trade in every 2 3 or 4 years and we were told that the warranty purchase was not refundable so we could decide later whether to extend or not. Even now they are telling us that they could extend it if you'd allow it. Are you telling me they aren't telling the truth as this is not your policy? Because the dealer says you are denying the extension.

I entered into a finance contract with Kubota Credit Corporation on 7/31/2023 for the purchase of new equipment, 'Homestead Package' comprised of a tractor, implements, and zero turn mower. First payment due 9/3/2023. Initially I made payments manually via the Kubota mobile app. In Nov 2023, my stepfather was diagnosed with aggressive terminal cancer, requiring 24 hour care by my mother and I. Due to this and continuing to work a full time job and necessary farm work, I made the decision to put all possible monthly bills on autopay to lessen the monthly burden, including a manual payment to Kubota and change to auto draft for future payments, next scheduled payment in Dec 2024. On 3/20/2024, a driver came to my farm to collect the equipment, citing a pickup order by Kubota for lack of payment. This was the first I learned there was an issue. I did not receive written communication or email notification of late or non-payment prior to this night. I offered to pay any amount due immediately to prevent the collection but was told by the driver he could not accept money and I would need to contact the dealer. He also told me he had heard from other customers there was an issue with the ********************** website and he had to pick up several other equipment who said the same thing-no notice of late or nonpayment. He said he would keep the equipment on his trailer to bring back. I called the dealer first thing next morning, but they said the computer wasn't updated. I repeatedly called Kubota Credit Corp and was told I could not make the missing payments and that the equipment would be sold unless I paid the entire amount, which was greater than the financed amount. I offered a cosigner, catch up payments immediately, to reinstate our agreement, and was disappointed Kubota Credit exercised 0 flexibility with me in resolving the issue after learning there was a miscommunication and/or potential website issue, along with a death in my family during this time (my stepfather).

I had bought an excavator from Kubota a few years ago. I made payments on it regularly until around covid. After covid our business slowed down and it was harder to make payments. We managed to make payments late but we paid the late fees. In April we owed a few months of payments and were prepared to make a payment for the past due amount the week of April 8. On April 8 I received a call from kubota and i told them that i would pay the balance due on the 12th. The woman said that would not be a problem and said she would note that in the system. On April 9th, i received an email at 12:37 PM that i need to make a payment of ******** to make my account current. at 4:34 pm on the same day, a man came to my personal residence (Not the address on the kubota Loan) and told me that if i dont surrender the machine at that moment that he would call the sheriffs office . I had told him that i just received an email 4 hours prior and that i can do a wire transfer for the amount due right at that moment. This man called *********************** who wrote me the email 4 hours prior and put me on a 3 way call. When i told *************** that i can do the wire transfer at that very moment he told me it was too late and then told me how i have to face the reality that this is happening and the machine is being taken away. It was very insulting and beyond the scope of a debt collector to talk to me like that. When i told him about the email that he had just sent me, he acted as if that didnt matter. (Email and date stamp attached). This is not how you treat customers that buy large ticket items. I dont need to be berated by a someone who writes an email and gves you the opportunity to pay that day and then changes his mind. That is not something that should be done by someone who presents a company that sells to the American people. I want my machine back and to continue making my payments. The machine is 80% or more paid off.
