Dealing with *** has been infuriating to say the least. When I applied, I was denied for an unknown reason, to which AHP said "Hmm, that's weird." After going back and forth with them, my eligibility was finally approved over a week later. Now it is over 2 weeks after my coverage was supposed to start and the health insurance provider has no record of my coverage because the school "still has not sent it over". I have been on and off the phone with AHP over the last few weeks and it's always "I'll have a specialist reach out", but no one reaches out to me. No one should have to wait 3 weeks for their healthcare provider even to have a record of their policy. As a student with multiple chronic illnesses, paying out of pocket is extremely difficult, regardless of whether I'll be reimbursed or not. I am extremely disappointed, they have failed to provide efficient and trustworthy service to those who really need it.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Academic Health Plans. As a student, I paid for my coverage to start on June 1st, expecting to have access to healthcare immediately. Unfortunately, my information was not sent to ********** Blue Shield and not activated until June 17th. This left me without coverage for over two weeks, during which time I was unable to receive any medical treatment because I did not want to pay out of pocket. This delay in activating my account is unacceptable. I paid for a service that I did not receive in a timely manner, and it caused me significant stress and inconvenience. I trusted Academic Health Plans to provide the coverage I needed, but they failed to deliver.I strongly advise others to consider these issues before choosing Academic Health Plans for their health insurance needs. Their lack of efficiency and reliability is concerning.

My son has been denied a waiver because *** claims his medical insurance is inactive when that's not true. Proper information and documentation has been submitted TWICE. He has medical coverage through a large company that answers their phone. Can't get a response back from AHP and for over an hour no representative has called back. An in person visit may be necessary to resolve any issues people have. Waiting on hold isn't getting us anywhere.

I haven't been able to log into my account to sign up for student health insurance. When I click the "forgot my password" reset link, I don't receive any emails (checked spam, as instructed). I contacted customer service thru the online chat a number of times, and they all gave me different steps to follow, none of which worked. I wasn't sure what steps I should take next. Finally, I submitted an email inquiry yesterday and called today to follow up. After talking to a number of confused and unhelpful customer service reps who's calls kept being disconnected, I spoke to a woman who took down detailed notes. Finally, in the end she rudely stated she would not 'escalate' my issue (whatever that means), since I did not wait 2 business days to get a response to my email. She is not 'escalating' my issue even though it's a technical problem on their end that's causing me to be uninsured. It feels like I'm going around in circles with AHP and the customer service I've received so far leaves me feeling hopeless that I'll get a resolution to this anytime soon. What a nightmare.
