I agree with all the other customers on here. This company just wants your money. The course is way outdated from the 2000’s. I know it’s not supposed to be fun but at least update your videos. The cost is terrible as well they tell yea hey it’s only $25 for this course but they add fees they don’t tell you about. You ends up paying I think it’s $30 something with fees. Also if you want to instantly download your certificate you already paid for the course to take, they make you pay an extra $25 to install download your certificate. You end up paying over $78 for it. This company is a scam and will let everyone know who needs to take defensive not to use them. Save your money and go to a better defensive driving course.Review from Matt R

This is what I am assuming is a standard course for defensive driving. It served the purpose. My issues are with the costs and customer service. They say it is $25 and yes, that is the BASE price. They add on a couple of fees and taxes and you are up to around $30. Then to get the certificate, you have to wait up to 23 days like I did to receive it for free by mail, or pay an additional $15 for instant download. This is deceptive marketing. When I contacted them about the extended wait time, they shrugged it off and blamed the post service.

The thing that makes me very upset out of all of this is the fact that I cannot give a -8 star review for this "company". This "company" is a scam that is disguised as a business. First of all, nowhere on their site mentions a $25 download fee. Most people assume that you get the certificate emailed like with most websites that offer this service. This deceptive tactic allows these scammers to scam millions from people and fact these guys are still getting away with makes me absolutely disgusted. I unfortunate was a victim as my citation deadline was nearby and had no choice but to fork out $25 for these scam artists. Another deceptive tactic they use is they say on their website that they offer 24/7 customer service but I'm assuming all of you are aware by now that it's not true. I really love the fact they also said that they will change that on their website, but I noticed that they said 2 years ago. I think 2 years fairly enough time to change that, not sure why it's not changed yet. The course itself also quite the scam too. They have a quota for the amount questions you can get wrong before they lock you out of the course. I mean pretty obvious why they do that. They just want to fork another $25 from you so the CEO can buy another yacht. They also add time limits to some of the questions along with this quota to increase the chance of you paying them another $25. To anybody that is victim of these scam artists, I highly encourage you to file a lawsuit. I genuinely want to see the downfall of this "company". And if DefensiveDriving.com is read this, I hope you know that the people are coming for you. You will no longer get away with this, not anymore.Defensive Driving.com Response

You guys "strive to" extract as much money as you can from your customers. Also do not think as this as an attempt to give you guys "feedback" as MULTIPLE other people have typed the exact same thing as me. How come you never "appreciate" their "feedback". I am merely just trying to expose your operation. "Your insights are invaluable in helping us make our site better for all our users" like quit acting like your care. If you guys did you would have by now listened to the NUMEROUS complaints throughout the years and changed something by now. But the course and the website has been the same pile of poop throughout its entire lifespan. "The course failure rate is less than 5%" and why would I believe you. You guys have given me no reason to think that you are trustworthy. So quit with the patronizing responses and lube your butthole for the lawsuits that are about to come.Review from Elizabeth J

Please reach out to us in the event of an issue so that we can proactively assess your account. Less than 5% of students do not receive a Certificate of Completion. We support all students to completion, whether by technical support or help with content.Review from David B

After completion of the coarse I followed the steps to retrieve the certificate and was presented with a dialog to get the certificate requiring a CC. I assumed it was another verification but after calling support it was to download. As I finished early I would have opted to have it mailed if it had been apparent. I have to agree with other customers that the 24/7 customer services is very deceptive and false. I completed my course on a Sunday and called their customer service phone number, because I had a question about the online certificate, just to find out that they are closed on Sundays. My second complain, and another deceptive tactic, is that they don't disclose upfront, the fact that you have to pay a $10.95 fee to download the online certificate. This is clearly a rip-off, in today's digitized world, the online certificate should be FREE and included in the price of the course. I would have been okay about the $10.95 certificate download fee, if I was informed before starting the course, but to find out about it after completing the course, is deceptive and an unethical business practice... they only disclose this fee after you successfully completed the course. I will not use this company in the future, and I can't also not recommend and endorse it. I'm also considering filing a complaint with the ******* ***** ********** ***** agency for unethical business practices.Defensive Driving.com Response

It was excruciating. I am 70 years old. Technology is so hard for me. They included severe time pressures, such as no lunch break, but instead there were 5 breaks of 12 minutes each. The course took all day. I had to dash to the bathroom, and dash back. Always some sort of timer was running. Dreadful pop-up questions, (statistics!) and a scolding, threatening pop-up each time I missed one. One thing was very, very good. When I called a phone number, I got humans who were kind and helpful. Incidentally, I passed.Defensive Driving.com Response
