ABF recently remodeled my main bathroom and there were several issues. First, it seems they lied to me about using licensed plumbers. Halfway through the project, I became concerned about the quality of work and asked to see Pablo's plumbing license. Rico told me that Jacob (who had not worked at my house at that point) was licensed, and Jacob had trained Pablo. I never received Pablo or Jacob's plumbing license information as requested. Second, these guys cut a lot of corners. You need to watch their work very closely to make sure they are using the materials you requested. Third, they are very sloppy workers who do damage along the way. I have chipped shower floor tiles, a chipped light fixture, paint splatters everywhere, cuts on the new flooring, and discolored shower grout that wasn't mixed properly or something. Trying to get ABF back out to fix these problems has been a scheduling nightmare. They do not show up when they say they will and they are often not prepared to do everything you were expecting them to do. I will be hiring someone else to finish their mess.

I am sorry to hear that you are not pleased with the service we provided you. A Beautiful Floor has been in business since 1999 under the same name and working out of the same neighborhood in Northwest Houston. We have been a member of the BBB since the year 2000 with an A+ rating. We absolutely stand by the services we provide and the work we do. Our aim with every customer of ours is to go beyond their expectations and leave them as satisfied customers who are willing to refer us to family and friends. This is the way we approach business! Most of our work comes from referrals and repeat business. Kindly check our google reviews to find the response to our services by a few our customers. Occasionally we do run across situations where a customer is not pleased with an aspect of our work. In cases like this, we strive to listen to and address any issue brought up. During our operations, we use several subcontractors to conduct our projects as most general contractors do. We have carpenters, framers, cabinet makers, granite, and quartz fabricators, plumping contractors, flooring contractors, electrical contractors, etc. that we use. The subcontractors we use have worked for us for many years and we stand by the quality of the services they provide our customers. Since we are the main contractor, we stand responsible for the outcome of all our projects and warrant them accordingly. Regarding your complaint, we were contracted to do a small bathroom renovation. The customers picked her own tile materials from a local flooring store. We supplied the labor and setting materials for the tiles she selected. We supplied and installed a custom vanity cabinet and quartz countertop, the fixtures were ordered and provided by the customer. We used a plumbing subcontractor “DE ANDA’S SERVICES HPL 40970.” Upon starting the project, our project manager said that she did not like the tile material that she selected, and had it changed which we accommodated her. Regarding her claim that we use substandard materials, during the project the installer had picked up the wrong type of grout, he picked up a premixed grout instead of an epoxy grout, a miscommunication between the technician and the project manager, once the customer called and brought it to our attention, the project manager immediately went ahead and picked up the correct type of grout that had been requested. Upon completion and prior to collecting the balance due, the project manager walked the job thoroughly with the customer, got on his knees in the shower to inspect the grout and tiles and had all the concerns she raised prior to singing off on the project addressed. As a practice, we would typically pick up a check for the balance due upon completion, however she insisted she would mail it. A week later she mailed us a balance due of 10% indicating everything was satisfactory. About two weeks later she called and wanted us to stop by to address additional issues she had found. Arrangements were made. On Saturday the 4th of May 2024 the technician showed up a bit early and waited several minutes before leaving since no one was home. When she arrived back home, she demanded that he drop everything he was doing and come right back to address her concerns. The project manager called and let her know he will be coming back later in the afternoon. Her response was never mind and that she wasn’t going to deal with it anymore. Unfortunately, the timing did not work. We are always willing to address any warranty work, but it must be at a time that works for all parties involved. If you would like us to address any issue with our work, we are more than willing to, at a time that works for both parties. I can categorically state that unlike a lot of contractors in the industry, we do NOT cut corners and we are NOT out here to make a quick buck. We wouldn’t be in business for over 23+ years, in the same neighborhood and using the same name if we did! We have worked extremely hard to build our reputation and intend to keep it that way. We offer all our customers dependable, honest, prompt services at a fair price and are exceptionally good at what we do! Thanks, ABF Remodeling

Thanks, Mike and Rico, for your good work converting our attic into a bedroom and bathroom. We are very pleased with the final result!
