    My solar panels have not been sending data for 3 months. Terrible customer service. They do not honor appointments. They reschedule appointments without notifying customers. I took off work and lost a whole days wage to find out they rescheduled my appointment without telling me. Call center employees have no knowledge or skill. Yet they are taking our money every month.

    The worst company I’ve ever dealt with.. they were crooks.. been charging me for panels that don’t produce what they said . Worse than that is I’m still getting charged from my electric company . So I’m paying both and Sunnova does nothing.. it’s the run around . Customer service is terrible. They respond with email saying everything is fine.. I’m to they point were I’m telling them to come get there panels and I’m not going to pay for something that doesn’t work. They should be audited. Scam

    I have had solar power from Sunnova for three months. It was sold by vivint and installed by 1Solar. I have not had a problem with 1Solar but so far nothing vivint told me about the system has been true so far. I have had to pay my solar panel contract payment and an additional payment to my electric company. The vivint sales man said he would make my first three payments which was on a hand shake not in writing. My fault but that just shows there sales technics. I have one solar panel under producing way under and one a little under. It took 5 phone calls and 2 months before someone finally came out to look at it. The tech said a panel is bad. I am still fighting with Sunnova to get it repaired. I do not recommend either vivint or Sunnova for any solar system. Sunnova customer service doesn’t not exist. I regret ever going solar at all.

    had solar panels installed and they worked fine for a few years. had a house fire in the attic. contacted sunnova to request guidance regarding whether the panels are salvagable, whether a warranty would cover it. customer service barely speak english and barely comprehends what is spoken to them. additionally they do not provide any information and do not return repeated requests for call back. In addition to that, i received an email from them stating that if i pay off the system i would receive a $3000 gift card within 8 weeks. that was 11 weeks ago. i called the company and they said they will look into it and call me back. that was 5 days ago. no one called. i called the fulfillment department for the gift card and they have no record of my account at all. stay away from this company, they have no customer service whatsoever.

    When the solar panels are working correctly, we are satisfied, however, when we had a 2.5 month outage, we were not notified nor were we refunded the monthly cost or our banked solar units/funds. Customer service was not helpful whatsoever, and I am inclined to believe they have this issue regularly, as all the service reps use the same scripted response. So we are left with the monthly service charge for 2.5 months, with no service provided. Due to that issue, I do not recommend this company.

    Received a quote to install 2 storage batteries and signed a loan contract in May of 2024. Install process slow but I expected that. In Dec of 2024, local permits filed. I inquired about Sunnova filing documentation so that I could receive state incentive credits. They advised I had to do that. Contacted state green power representatives and they advised Sunnova they had to and how to do that. Then Sunnova tells me I'm not eligible for state rebates because that's only for those who lease solar panels. I don't lease, they green bank advised I am eligible. I've asked Sunnova for more details via e-mail, text and phone call and they are simply ghosting me with no return response. Their quote for install was $17,000 cheaper than a local company for same batteries, which has me wondering if they just mispriced and at this point have no intent on ever installing.

    We purchased a home and Sunnova is the Solar provider that automatically comes on the house. The house is over 3300SQ feet, we get 17 KWG per month(11 PANELS) from solar.. which is NOTHING!!!!! We called to add panels and you are not allowed to add panels without another contract for another 25 years, with an additional solar system (2 SOLAR SYSTEMS WTF???) Sunnova gives ****** a bad name ...why can't I add more panels???? Why do I need buy another Solar system if the one to add more panels??? All the customer service is VERY HARD TO UUNDERSTAND..so I'm sure its outsourced.... How is there not a class action lawsuit with the company....total scam....there is no way to cancel the contract either ....I think the CFPB/FTC needs to investigate this ASAP.. Sunnova will not even come check the system to confirm its working...the average use for a 2000SQ.Ft home is 1200-2000 KWG per month .....what is 17KWG doing?????

    If I could give this company a negative star I would. I am a widow of less than a month, I called them to see what my options are because I can't afford to pay for the solar system my husband signed a contract on (which has the wrong name on it) and they immediately read from their script and said oh lets get that contract signed over to you, I said I don't want to do that, she said you have too, it belongs to you now. I said what happens if I can't pay for it, she said we turn your power off. I asked if that was only option and her reply was you can sell buy it out or sell your house to pay for it. Are you freaking kidding me! Sell my house that my late husband poured our blood sweat and tears into!? Or leave me with no electricity! Oh or spend an astronomical amount of money on a system that has never worked correctly and still needs repairs! I don't know how people can live with themselves talking homeowers into a solar system! It's no wonder Sunnova is in a class action lawsuit for preying on the elderly in Houston Texas! It's one gigantic scam for someone to get deep pockets full of cash!

    Been with Sunnova for slightly over 9 years now, I can attest that this Solar system did save me a ton of money, Sunnova is not 100% perfect, no one is; however, I am a satisfied customer.

    So I got solar panels about a year ago and the representative told me that I could always finance to own when interest rates go down. That I would just have to call when ever I think the rates might be down. So that is what I did after a year and they told me over the phone that I cannot purchase to own until after 5 years. This was NEVER told to me and how furious am I with this company. Please don’t let them scam you by telling you that it’s better to lease them and later u can purchase.
