    I was in a car accident and my car was totaled. I was financing through Exeter Fianc they received the payment from insurance, I am owed an overpayment. They keep changing their stories about when my payment was sent. If it truly was mailed on the 7th? I would have received the check. They always have a different story and blame the postal service. It is not making sense. I feel like I am getting the runaround.

    This company has very horrible employees with NO customer service skills. They do not like explaining anything on your account to you and they purposely collect interest before payments so that you will fall behind and have to come out of pocket with more money.

    I have now had 3 scheduled payments deleted instead of the company taking the money. I have called before and the company blames me but why would I cancel a payment and then call to ask why it was deleted.

    Exeter Finance inaccurately reported a charge-off for account ******* on my credit report, which has caused significant harm to my creditworthiness. I believe this reporting violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act (****) because the debt may have been securitized and no longer resides in Exeter Finances portfolio. Despite contacting Exeter Finance on multiple occasions the issue remains unresolved. This has caused me alot of financial hardship and emotional damage.

    Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a formal complaint against Exeter Finance LLC for inaccurate reporting of a debt that has been sold to a third-party collection agency. Despite the fact that the balance owed to Exeter Finance LLC is now zero, my credit report still reflects an outstanding balance or unresolved debt for the account in question.The account in question has been sold to another entity, and Exeter Finance LLC no longer holds this debt. Furthermore, I have made repeated requests for documentation verifying the debt, but no original contract or supporting documents have been provided. This situation constitutes an unfair practice, as the company has failed to validate the debt and continues to report it inaccurately, which is negatively affecting my ********* per the Fair Credit Reporting Act (****) (15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq.), I am entitled to have my credit report reflect accurate and verifiable information. I am requesting that Exeter Finance LLC immediately correct the inaccurate reporting of the debt on my credit report by either marking the account as "paid" or "settled," or removing it entirely if it cannot be validated.I believe that Exeter Finance LLCs actions are in violation of consumer protection laws, and I am requesting that the BBB assist in resolving this matter. I am seeking a resolution that will correct my credit report and prevent any further damage to my creditworthiness.Thank you for your attention to this complaint. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this issue.

I request ***********************, I to validate the *********** could not. 15 USC 92 states that is unfair practice, because Exeter Finance LLC has wrote it off with taxes & did not provide me with a 1099-C. And it's being reported on my credit report, as well as ************************ I. Both are reporting on my account, Please remove Exeter Finance LLC for unfair practice under 15 USC 92 for give someone else my information. And please remove ************************ I for violation of 15 *** 1681 for not validating any debt reported before reporting to any credit report.

    I purchased a 2018 ******* Elantra in March of 2022. I put ******* down in cash. When I purchased the vehicle , I had the vehicle and several months after I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer. I informed the finance company Exeter. Since having the vehicle and having cancer I have been back and forth in and out of the hospital. Having to delay payments , etc. I just got out of the hospital Friday. Still having a battle . Recently got out of the hospital. After the tik tok video has made these cars so difficult to insure . I have insurance on the vehicle but between being sick, hospitalization, medication , & the cost of the car note makes it virtually impossible to do it all. I noticed on my car contract the money was never deducted that I placed which is part of the consumer law. I also feel stuck because what used to be affordable isnt affordable based on the car companies . Exeter hasnt been understanding. Currently upside down when trying to get out of the car altogether. I need a car to make the doctors appointments however there seems to be no flexibility with this finance company. All while marking me with late payments which is against the ****.

    I was in a car accident September of 2024, and my car was fully paid off by insurance in October of 2024. Since then, Exeter has hit my credit over 80 points and reported I have a delinquent account, negatively impacting my credit score Ive worked hard to maintain. After speaking to customer service on numerous occasions, including a phone call with a supervisor Ordene (employee ID: ****** where I was advised to send them screenshots of their credit reporting, it continues to be a problem the following month. They continue to blame the credit bureau and take 0 accountability. They see my 0 balance on their end yet they maintain that they cannot stop the dings on my credit. I will not stop fighting until they leave me alone. Theyre like a bad ex boyfriend that wont let you flourish, its getting ridiculous at this point. Please help me end my relationship with them!!
