  My husband and I hired TCB, *********************** to do some home improvements in February 2021. Not long after the job started *********************** became aggressive and combative about making changes that weren't on the contract and money. We tried to make resolutions and continue but after shoddy work was being completed and more rude behavior from **** we decided to fire him before any more work was done to our home. There was no attempt by **** to make a resolution with us. Instead TCB put a lein on our home for $2,000 even though the job had not been completed and they had materials that we had paid for and never received. *********************** also stole extra flooring we had purchased. He intimidated me while I was very pregnant and my husband wasn't home. In fact after the first disagreement on our job he made a point to avoid my husband and only come by to discuss the job when I was home alone. He also verbally abused his sub contractors and laborers. I always felt extremely uncomfortable when he was around. It turns out he has a criminal past of fraud and being a shady con man contractor. This man should not be in business. All he does is hurt people. He did this to several people in my neighborhood and more in the area around me. I can provide documentation and correspondence if needed.

  I am rejecting this response because:
  It does not attempt to resolve anything. I have already said in my complaint that the business put a lien on my house. I dont need to see the notice. I have that in my files as well. I will be adding these forms since an obvious forgery of my husbands signature is on there. I will attach our original letter from when we fired TCB because it gives more detail of events. We are not bound by blood to this contract and were well within our right to terminate. Any lawyer or simple ****** search can tell you that. The lien is this cons attempt to bully us into paying $2,000 for a job not finished. Wherever he goes bad reviews and complaints will follow. *********************** is a criminal and will never be a legit contractor. Thats why his name is nowhere to be found on any of these documents. This sad excuse for a man hides behind his wife.

  I would like to further investigate that signature. We did not sign a document that day and none of that writing was there. Im refering to the document with the payment schedule. You can see my husbands real signature on checks.

  Bottom line is we signed a slim margin contract with this home owner due to their fixed budget.  After signing they kept wanting additional  services for free or upgraded without wanting to pay extra.  Contract says if you cancel contract we have the right to put a lien on said property.  They canceled and we put a lien on their property.

  Lies and more lies! In regards to your first response stating you have made 6 attempts I'd like to see proof of that. You have made zero attempts to resolve anything. As to this response, we never asked or expected anything for free. Not ever! If there was ever any discussion of any change we always asked how much extra we would need to pay. I can only recall that happening twice. You have often brought up our "fixed budget" in our communications as a way to insult or minimize us. We never told you we had a fixed budget. Not once! You quoted the job and we agreed on a price. Paying was never an issue for us as you so often wanted to assume. As far as your businesses contract I pray your future victims have the wisdom not to get into any agreement with you. The two of you have done so much dirty work you can't even show your face in our neighborhood because of all the people you've wronged. It's a shame because you could've had a successful business but you just can't help but lie and steal. Good riddance!!
