    Business response

    07/29/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/31) */ Regarding Miss *******'s complaint, despite the pandemic and the fact that I was recovering from a recent spinal fusion surgery, which she and her brothers who referred me to her, was fully aware of, I personally repaired her vehicle because of my relationship with her brothers, in an effort to keep her expenses down. The a/c system was completely inoperable due to the climate control module being defective. In addition to replacing the control module I performed a complete a/c system service, at no extra expense to Miss *******. Upon completion of the repairs I also completely detailed Miss *******'s vehicle before returning it to her. I mention this because Miss ******* states that her front bumper was damaged, which would have been easily noticeable because of the detail performed on the vehicle. Some time after performing the repairs on Miss *******'s vehicle she contacted me to inform me that the fan control was malfunctioning again, which is part of the climate control module, and I informed her that it was under warranty from defects and I would replace it at no additional cost to her. The only way I can have the defective parts replaced under warranty is to have the vehicle in my shop, remove the part, and return it for a replacement. I informed Miss ******* that ordered a replacement part for her vehicle on a warranty claim but never saw nor heard from Miss ******* again until I received this complaint via mail. To date I have not returned to work due to my injuries and subsequent surgeries so I cannot state with 100% accuracy that Miss ******* has not visited my repair facility but I can unequivocally state that I personally have not spoken with her. Because of the amount of time that expired I returned the replacement part so as not to be charged for it because I did not have the defective part to send back on a warranty claim. Miss ******* as well as her brothers have my contact information, my shop's address, as well as my residential address if anyone chose to contact me. My relationship with her brothers is very amicable and thus open to any and all forms of communication. I have been in business for 12 years and have never had a negative customer complaint filed against my company. Consumer Response /* (3000, 15, 2022/06/12) */ I have two more questions, why would he return a part if it's paid for by the customer, and if he saw my brother's why didn't he give whatever part to them. He didn't because he never had it. He is just a con man. Thank you for trying yo help me with this issue, because I trusted him, as long as he has been in business, I am the first one, not afraid to report him. This is considered as a civil case, for small claims court. That's my next step. Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2022/06/18) */ Without being repetitive, I can only remedy a situation of any nature if I'm given the opportunity to do so. Giving the part to the client or her brothers would not have solved the stated issue because it was a warranty issue in addition to the part had to be programmed with special equipment, which I stated to her brothers. Replacement of the defective part costs me nothing because not only does the company replace the part but they pay my labor as well. But because it was a warranty claim and they sent out a replacement part in good faith, because of our long standing business relationship, I only have an allotted amount of time to send back the defective part or I will be charged for the replacement part they sent out. I stand to gain absolutely nothing by mistreating this client or any client for that matter. The a/c system was completely inoperable when I received the vehicle and fully functional when it was returned to the client. All the other issues she states was wrong or broken on the vehicle would have been easily noticeable and should/would have been addressed when the vehicle was given back to the client. Regarding the "tires" she mentioned being in her vehicle, I drove to the client's home to pick her up, in her vehicle, after the repairs were completed and down the street from her home was an Estate Sale. I stopped there to browse and I purchased (2) lawn mower tires and put them in the trunk of her car, which I forgot about and didn't get until days later. The client drove me back to my warehouse where my vehicle was parked, raved about her vehicle, thanked me and drove off. Additionally, the "yard" person she's referring to in her comments who supposedly stated that I scammed him out of money on a transmission repair, it's ironic that she never mentioned that I referred this person to her last year at her request because the people she had been hiring were not performing to her standards. Why would I refer someone to her if I had a bad experience with in the past? Nonetheless, I still am not apprehensive about making sure the client's vehicle is functioning properly and replacing the part she paid for when I return to work. I'm positive I can get the vendor to honor the warranty, though expired, because they know what the previous circumstances were. I will not, however, address any other issues she states are wrong with her vehicle because I know they were not of my doing. It's a 20 year old vehicle with plastic parts that are worn. I cannot make her vehicle NEW again. I can only do so much and what I'm proposing is far beyond the call of duty. I won't resort to name calling or belittling another person because it's neither right nor ethical. My spotless record speaks for itself.
