I paid this company $12,990.13 in October of 2023 to replace a roof. Come February the roof was still not replaced. The owner ******* refused to answer her phone of give us a definitive date the roof would be replaced so we requested a refund. The owner told us to dispute the amount charged to our credit card to receive a refund for this portion of the payment which we did. However, we also paid $,4000 in cash which could not be returned through the dispute. She assured us that she would send a check for the amount paid in cash. We have still not received a refund. The refund was originally requested on February 12th. This company is refusing to process a timely refund and the owner is now claiming that she is unable to provide a refund because the full amount of $8,999.13 was disputed with my credit card company. $8,990.13 is not the full amount. $4,000 was paid in cash. I am unable to hire another company to fix my roof until the entire payment is refunded. I am beginning to think this company is a complete scam.

Mr. *** *********************** originally requested material for the roof that was not in stock. This delayed the process of their roof to be completed. They then disputed the invoice of $12,990.13 through QuickBooks Before requesting a refund from Skyline Roofing Concepts. They then requested us to write them a check for the full amount, so that they would get reimbursed twice. A check was never sent out to them because the dispute is not settled. Once the dispute is determined through QuickBooks, we have every intention of awarding the full $12,990.13, Whether it be through QuickBooks or Skyline Roofing Concepts.

I am rejecting this response because:

This is not true. We requested a check for the amount paid in cash, not the total amount. The amount paid in cash could not be disputed through the credit card company because it was not charged to the credit card.

The total invoice of $12,990.13 was disputed through QuickBooks.

    Complaint: 21415116

I am rejecting this response because:

I have been unable to make any progress with Skyline Roofing Concepts as it related to my $4,000 refund. They continue to insist that Quickbooks is responsible for the refund. However, when I first contacted Quickbooks April 2nd, 2024 they assured me that the explanation given by Skyline roofing did not make any sense. Since this date I was unable to have any communication with Skyline. I sent them a text message nearly everyday and called and left voice messages but never received a response.  Finally, out of options and unwilling to be robbed by this company, I created a fake gmail account and pretended to be someone in search of a new roof. I received a response from Skyline within minutes where they requested additional information. Additionally, they even provided a phone number, the same one I have been calling and texting, confirming that this is an accurate number to reach this company and that they are simply ignoring me. I will attach these emails in this email. The initial message was sent through their website and they responded to my fake email address so the first message is unavailable. The final email from Skyline stated that I will have to contact QuickBooks because they are handling it.

I contacted Quickbooks again on April 10th, 2024. Quickbooks informed me that because I was not a Quickbooks account holder they could not provide me any information. They told me to contact Skyline to resolve this issue. I informed Skyline of this on April 10th at 9am and have been ignored ever since.

I have attached the receipt showing that I paid $4,000 in cash, the text messages they refuse to answer, and the emails sent from the fake gmail account.

    Regards,

I apologize for the inconvenience for **********************. However, he has never once been denied a refund. He submitted a dispute with his bank, and he has to wait for the process of that to be completed. He has been responded to, however he is not hearing what he wants to hear and continues to reach out for a different answer. He has threatened to show up to my home, and  I take that as a direct threat to my family. He will have to await for the full process of the dispute to be completed.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have never made any threats of any kind and do not appreciate these slanderous allegations. I simply requested an address for the business so that I can come Puck up the check for the money I am owed. I attached a screenshot of this message. This response I filled with blatant lies that are easily rebutted by the evidence I submitted on my behalf. Please feel free to submit evidence of these allegations against or provide an official apology for these ridiculous allegations.
